Yeah man, weird being this way, and I did just start back into working out so that is fun to find new creaky/achey things

Remove social media from the equation and you’d see a lot more folks in the middle.

Facebook, Twitter, etc., should be held to the same standards as newspapers and other news outlets.

I just got a call from my accountants son. They are headed to the hospital to say goodbye to him. Not going the ICU and ventilator route. He is took weak and his lungs are too far gone. The vietnam experience damaged them too much and the covid just destroyed him.

25 year friend and employee. I cant believe it.

Dang, so sorry to hear that Lanier and Jamal. Lost my uncle to it a few weeks ago. Hit him like a ton of bricks. He only made it a day or two in the hospital.

Dude went to cheer up a friend who had been having a hard time. His reward is he died. You just can’t justify that to me.

shite is fricked up.

My wife's grandfather has Covid. On deaths door. He's elderly and has had other issues very serious but the addition of covid will probably do him in.

Lanier (and Jamal) Sorry to hear about the issues with family and friends but be at peace brothers as much as it hurts to lose anyone and I've lost many, sister, brother, father, all grandparents, cousins... It only gets a little better with time for us left behind.

As a christian, Earth is not our home and these sinful bodies we have are only wrappings of our soul and spirit. Your friends have a new sinless body, no more aches pains heartache or worry. They are with our father in their eternal home. We just take up a tiny sliver of time in this realm. God Bless brothers.

And anyone that needs or hasn't turned their life over to Jesus it's as simple as the ABC's.

Read 1 Cor. 15:1-4 If you believe those verses to be true then you are saved and sealed with the Holy Spirit and will be reunited in death with our loved ones and our Savior Jesus Christ.

I can say I'm not perfect by any stretch but I am saved and know I am going to be in heaven. I struggle with ego and self. Self is probably one of the most difficult of all to let go of. It's a constant struggle.

We're in North Trussville and were pretty much in the path. Yanked the wife and kids to the basement around 10:45. Lifted before it got to us though.

Sounds like it followed the same path as the early morning January 2012 tornado but didn't track as far. Fultondale is wrecked. At least one of my industrial customers on Carson got smacked.

The teenager that was killed when the house collapsed in Newcastle was the older brother of a student my wife's best friend teaches.

I’m in Trussville as well but a different area. The thunderstorm that came through as part of that chaos kept me up for about an hour. It was like a light show. It’s been a while since I’d seen a storm like that.

The one good thing I'll say is that it's amazing how far the NWS and doppler radar has come. Fultondale, as hard as it got hit, had an 8-10 minute lead time on an embedded spin-up at night. A couple of decades ago in this situation we may not have even known a tornado had touched the earth until it had already ended.

This. And get a weather radio! Mine went off last night and got us up to make sure we weren't in the path. You may not hear the tornado siren, but there's NO WAY you're sleeping through this weather radio going off.
