So if Steele ends up being the guy.. where would you rank him among current SEC coaches? And yes, I'm absolutely stirring the pot because I'm bored at the moment and its too quiet.

I’d put him below Beamer to be honest.

If we are looking at Pros: No one has a better network in CFB than Steele. Everyone seems to like him, so finding assistants should be easy. He has seen the belly of Dabo/Saban so he understands modern CFB.

Basically, no one from 247 is mentioning Cristobal as an option, while Rivals folks are saying he's been offered.
