Might I suggest you start by burning down the building with Harbert’s name on it?

I'm still not buying the Steele smokescreen but if I'm wrong and he does end up as our next HC watch out. I'm going to have the mother of all meltdowns. Heads will roll and dumpsters will be lit

Let's do some math.

Chizik was fired on Nov. 25th. On Dec. 4th, Gus was officially introduced as Auburn coach.

So that's roughly 9 days. This thread was started 2 days ago, and is already at 48 pages. So, let's say an average of 24 pages a day.

So, if the timeline is similar to 2012, then when this thread reaches roughly 210-215 pages, then it'll be time for the presser.

Plan accordingly.

”Search Committee" is just window dressing to get through the hiring process requirements. Its a complete show. They'll stamp off on whoever the BOT has decided on.

This is 100% accurate. I worked in Human Resources for Ohio State and it is a procedural process to have a hiring committee for all faculty and high level positions. I managed the committees and many times had little say in the final hire lol.

Lt. General Burgess basically runs the University (COO), he is someone I trust and he cares about winning and sports. He will not be pushed around.

Now you can put this in the For what its worth department. I have a friend whose uncle is a BAMA letterman. He says the big mucky mucks at BAMA have the under roos in a bunch over Auburn possibly getting Cristobal. They see Cristobal as the eventual replacement for Saban in a couple of years. I personally do not think we get Cristobal. NIKE$$$$$$

One of the reporters kinda nailed it — the search firm isn’t actually searching. They’re there to facilitate the process. Coordinate the interviews, vetting of the coaches, provide cover. The Auburn people, or advisory group, is just there to talk about Auburn. They’ll give impressions and answer questions but they aren’t really deciding anything

No clue why Oregon just doesn't come out and say they are locking MC down.

Find any skeletons in the closet so you don't end up with a Baylor situation.

Just wanted to add, because I had not previously realized...

Guess who was the DC @ Clemson while Billy Napier was the OC....

Kevin Steele

Means jack shite, just a cute little coincidence. If you really want to look too much into it, maybe it makes Napier more likely to retain Steele if he is selected.
