Ok. A lot of people want Kiffin. What has he won? A Conference USA championship. Who has he beat this year with his 8-2 record?

Freeze is coaching at fricking LIBERTY! A school that just jumped to FBS TWO DAMN YEARS AGO. He developed a QB that is starting in the NFL, and just knocked off an SEC team on the home field. Look at Freeze's record as a HC, and compare it to Kiffin's. Throw out emotion and be objective.

1. I think it will be Lane, huge splash hire is the upside, downside is it will take a Jimbo package to get him and we saw how that's turning out.

2 Freeze, my choice, get him for much less money and he would absolutely love to be here, will kiss all the babies and attend every function, culturally a perfect fit ... downside is Hugh being Hugh and that could be a huge embarrassment.

3 Grimes or Caddy if we strike out with the other two.

Lane Kiffens

This is the best job open in the country right now. And he's done about all he can do at Mississippi. He sees Auburn has a large open checkbook for himself and an elite staff. He knows the NIL is there to get the players he needs. He knows the school, the program and the fans are hungry for success. He knows he can win SEC and national championships at Auburn. And who the fork really wants to live in Mississippi if you don't have to? I could go on but it's not necessary.

It will be announced on the Sunday after the Iron Bowl.

2. Jeremy Pruitt was at the game last night. He was DC at Bama when Lane was OC. Kiffin Kiffin will not bring his DC from Ole Miss he was pissed at the AD for not offering more money to Durkin. Pruitt will be DC. Dye coached at Bama brought Wayne Hall on Defensive staff. Hall played at Bama. We are gonna hire two former Bama coaches.
You might want to look a little harder at Pruitt. Talk about a fricking sleeze ball! Hates Auburn with a passion too. He got a show cause firing from TN. Coached under Probst. Complete failure at TN.

Did he think that when he took the TN job?

Kiffin has OM primed for their second straight 10 win season. That’s something Hugh never did and the one season he did win 10 has been vacated because he’s a cheat.

What did Pruitt do? Context is important.

I think most would agree, the SEC, and especially the SEC West is down this year. How was it in 2015 when Freeze beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa?

You mean the vacated win in Tuscaloosa because Hugh is a cheat?

It was pretty good that year. Weirdly though, that season, Freeze’s best season EVER as a head coach, he lost to an AAC team. An AAC team that, Gus Malzahn’s 6-6 Auburn Tigers beat that year with Jeremy Johnson at the helm

No need to shite in every thread. This is a prediction thread not an argument thread.

2015 wasn't vacated. Might want to do a little homework before posting BS. That being said, so what? Are you the lone Auburn fan that thinks Saban wasn't buying players? AND, even with that, of the two teams who STILL HAD THE OVERALL MOST TATLENT? End result was, OM beat Alabama on their field, and Alabama went on to win the natty and get their first Heisman.

Getting caught like an amateur is more embarrassing than Never To Yield Foundation innuendo and conspiracy.

Freeze was 7-6 his first year at Ole Miss
Kiffin was 5-5 his first year at Ole Miss (COVID)

Since Kiffin's first year was a COVID year, it's hard to say, but I'll call it even.

Freeze was 8-5 his second year at Ole Miss
Kiffin was 10-3 his second year at Ole Miss

Advantage Kiffin

Freeze was 9-4 his 3rd season at Ole Miss
Kiffin is 8-2 right now in his third year.

I would say small advantage Kiffin.

Freeze's best year was his 4th year when he went 10-3. Kiffin had that record in his 2nd season.

G5 coaching

Kiffin coached at FAU for 3 seasons and went 26-13. He had one 11 win season and one 10 win season.

Freeze has coached 3 full seasons at Liberty and went 26-11. He had one 10 win season there (other two were 8-5).

Liberty is not in a conference, so it's impossible to compare conference titles. But Kiffin won the conference 2 of his 3 years.

Conclusion:

Kiffin is slightly ahead, I think. I think both coaches would win at AU and I would be fine with either. I'd rather have Kiffin because he has no moral baggage to deal with. He is Joey Freshwater, but he didn't become that until he was already divorced.

Lane Kiffin

1. Student section- I got respect for ole miss, but no way those preppies would sit through a thunderstorm to watch a football game

2. Fanbase- see r.1

3. Pride- I know he gets a shot at 'Bama every year, at Ole Miss, but no way will that ever match the hype for a Saban vs. Kiffin Iron Bowl.

4. NIL- our collective will rival any in the country based solely off our desire to send them back to tusk-a-loser.

5. There are several others, but, I'm rapidly approaching tl;dr status sooo...

Lane (some say it is done, he is the leading candidate) )90%
Freeze (he would take it, would we take the baggage hit?) 5%
Field 5%, most likely Grimes or Monken. (Flip a
Coin).
