5 years, 164+ games

I don’t recall his entire recruitment. But, I remember at times feeling like numbers weren’t going to work out for him at Auburn, and then very late it happened.

He was 1000% Auburn before it was ever even 1% certain we’d have room for him.

He's really a guy I hope is successful in life. He's earned every bit of his success. Seems like a really nice guy.

Broome is the first player since the 60’s to have 2500 points and 1500 rebounds.
I think when you add in his blocks he's 1 of 1.

Someone else mentioned this, but I wouldn't be mad if we made 44 a special number we give out to someone every year. Besides his personality and all of that, he's got the most wins by a good bit and since it includes the Covid year its probably never going to be broken.

Bruce - talked about it in one of this pre-game presser's.

His senior year he was ruled ineligible. And Bruce wanted and took him anyway.

In his own words - when asked - good story.

I feel the same way about 5. Not as big of an impact but a true Auburn Man.

I rewatched the ending of the game and when Broome hit the 3 pointer it was reminiscent of The Natural when Roy Hobbs hits the homer to win the pennant.

Yep, it was early on. He kind half pushed/half threw him.

ETA: One of the commentators said something like, "They're really communicating on defense." after it happened.

Never did hear/see who won regional MVP…or is that even still a thing?
Would assume it would be JB, but could make a case for TP as well.

Broome got it. Pettiford was on the all-regional team.
