I think Fabianich was a good hire on the surface but we really have no clue how his talents would have worked out.

I think he just needs to be dispatched because the power-structure makes no sense.

Does he decide who to recruit and basically acts like the HC's boss? Well, then he needs to be fired if you have plans on hiring a big name HC because no one is coming under that stipulation. If he reports to the HC, then he still needs to be let go because the HC probably already has his own guy to do that job.

Just how it goes.

So with them firing all of these coaches do they have someone already in line? Seems extreme.

Several "grad assistants" and off-field "analysts" who couldn't in any way be any worse than those that they fired that will be getting a temp promotion, I'm sure. (One previously mentioned in this or another thread is Trovon Reed.)

From Stultz:

Damn that many firings make me think that Pres Roberts thinks the Potato gang was trying to burn the program down.

Or... We have an idea already who the next coach will be

I think that's been evident for a while now.

Even if it isn't the case, their performance bears the firing.

Someone isn’t happy we fired Fabio

“Firing Fabio was not smart. The man knows who is likely coming available in the portal and, almost importantly, how much they'll cost. Yes, you read that correctly….as several of us predicted previously a secondary market has started to develop in the whole world of Portalnomics. In my dream world, Fabio would have been given legitimate consideration to remain by the new HFC (but it wouldn’t have been a requirement…after Harsin, I don’t believe in that anymore). That said, he could have kept working and turned over his “book of secrets” to the new HFC and at least kept some level of symmetry. Outside of Lane, the other known candidates could have used that help. Fabio was not a Harsin guy, so I’m not following the need to can him? What am I missing?

i apologize if this has been touched on, but it was a head scratcher from my POV. Especially given how bad AU needs to hit the Portal.”
