In MAR's defense.

Sometimes you to have to be thrown to the wolves to know what it's all about. Merely thinking your bad enough is often not enough and then you go work on becoming that guy. In other words: once you see your own shortcomings.

I guess “recruiting” is done at most high schools that are competing for the state. The young guys heads get full of themselves.

How do yo reign in an undisciplined player?

Playing time?

I hate that the other young man failed to find his way. He could have helped this team had his head been in the right place.

but I believe Shivers set the tone with his first couple runs. There is no denying he is explosive when he gets a chance

3 yard run, 6 yard run, 3 yard run... where do yall get this crap from? The numbers tell the actual truth.

Never seen a running back get more celebration for gaining a simple first down like this place does with Midget.

Brannigan stop the hate bro. Shivers isn’t the most talented but if you can’t see he plays with all heart and completely destroyed the best DB in America on the first play then your bias is unhealthy.

Like we all said he set the tone on those 2 edge runs with his physical play.

It was good to see us get in the red zone 6 times and come away with 5 TDs...

Also the recruiting at JO isn’t recruiting of other areas it’s within the school. He has to motivate players to come out to play. Especially when he first got there.

There is recruiting that goes on at the 7A level and some 6A but they figure out a way to do it to make it legal and legit so not much you can say about it. If they make a bonafide move then all is cool by the rules.

Speaking of the 5/6 red zone TDs. Was the DB not out of bound when he stripped the ball out? Making it a dead ball or does he have to have possession for it to be dead. I’m not sure the rule on that.

I thought this at first. But it looked like he punched it out and then stepped out after.

Then a good overturn on the call then. I still would like to know the rule if he would have been out of bounds if anyone knows

Yes I agree correct call but just wanted to know for myself if the defender would have been out of bounds what the call would be?

Christian Clemente
@CClemente__
Auburn buck Derrick Hall wins SEC Defensive Linemen of the Week for his performance against LSU. He had 4 tackles, 2 sacks and forced a fumble.

We might have a pass rusher. Finally

Wasn’t LSU missing a starting OT?

4. Jaylin Simpson(36). He was in as a backup, and again I realize he is not in the main rotation, but he did NOT show good CB skills covering LSU WRs. He got burned for their only TD, and he was burned on another but the QB overthrew the WR. He also looks like he doesn't have enough speed to cover. Watch his gait in film and see if he doesn't have a strange running motion.

Jaylin Simpson has actually been pretty dang good as the starting DB for most of the season. He didn't have his best game against LSU, but he has been solid especially for a kid who has only been in the program for a season and a half.

frickin' A. Shivers is getting the absolute most out of his ability and he ain't afraid of the devil himself. I'll take that all day long. Especially as a change-up from Tank.

Shivers contribution is not in the stats usually. Just as in the Alabama game last year, he hardly carried the ball, and was only in on that last TD that sealed it bc Schwartz was out. But it was his HIT that everyone remembers.

Even though his stats were weak Saturday, you have to see it on tv or film to understand his worth. Even coach said it is his hustle(watch after he hits the defender w his violence, even if they are so much bigger than him, and he gets up and runs to the huddle).

Just energy and team support that get him the cudos. Don't focus on his stats.

I think Capt is about the same size as Worm and it pisses Capt off because his parents told him he was too small to play football and therefor pursued a career in being a horse jockey.

So in his defense....It is hard to see Worm kick arse because it brings up what might have been for Capt. Give him a break.

Well, in case you missed the game, the first 3 yard run ended with Shivers trucking Stingley. You know, the preseason All American Stingley
