List of possible portal QBs?

If Freeze is going to survive he is going to have to get this critical decision right. Who do we like? Are there other names being floated?

This is whats scares me. Two unproven qbs that havent touched the field in a sec game. Worried freeze will think these guys are ready.

Dude has failed miserably in the portal for a QB. Why would any good portal QB come to this dumpster fire next year?

I may be missing something but Mensah has no reason to leave Tulane. They are rolling and have a very favorable schedule next year and he has a great coach. Very possible they could make the playoffs as the group of 5

They will overpay the shite out of one this year. Unfortunately I don’t see a sure thing out there.
Would prefer we overpay an entirely new offensive line.

Don’t be surprised if Freeze gets 2 portal QBs. Especially if Holden or Hank leaves.

None of these sound good off the top of my head.
But here’s what’s going to happen - we are going to overpay this year because we didn’t do that last year and it’s bitten us. The problem is there’s no Gabriel or Ward in this year’s portal “class” there’s mostly just slightly above average guys. We should have overpaid last year and gotten a stud. Nearly everyone on this board said that, even Thorne apologists, but for some reason our coaching staff consists of morons.

I get that man but there are less qood transfer QB's than there are landing spots. A better transfer QB will have better options that will also pay for them than Auburn right now
I think it is a bigger issue than Freeze thinks which is why he has failed so far. Vandergriff was a good example of that as well as Ward.

Correct. If a QB is transferring it's because he has something going on at his current school.
Who is the last QB to leave a prominent starting position to simply transfer to another school for money? I feel any school would pay to keep their starter

There are a lot of teams out there that need QBs this portal season, some that can spend with or outspend us.
I hope we've been carefully scouting possibilities. The problem with having a disaster in year two is the money may be a bit more grudging with a 3-4 win season lingering around.

Sorry for the double post, but I think Tulane's RB is going to be our portal pickup. He is naheem offord's brother.
