This happened to me last year. Turns out the wire to the pump alarm was shorting out and that was it

As a vet I have seen first hand when a dog latches on to someone you dang near have to kill the dog to get them off depending on the breed. What’s scary is how popular some of the bigger more aggressive breeds like Cane Corso are getting. Multiple vets including myself carry a pocket knife because if you are in a situation where one of them or another large aggressive dog has you cornered you are gonna need it

I have a Hayward sand hopper filter with a t9 salt cell and aquarite swg. I have a tech coming out next week hopefully to look at the motherboard and see if it’s bad. According to 2 different local companies they only last like 5-6 years. Which seems incredibly stupid for something that expensive

I think you mean wash house. If so cannot recommend it enough. Also sunset grille at the marina is good.
Pool troubles
Posted by AUVet21 on 4/16/25 at 2:50 pm
I’m at my wits end with my pool. In ground saltwater. At the end of last summer my salt level started reading low on the motherboard but when tested at the pool store it was normal. Tried resetting the cell didn’t work. Took the cell into the store and had it tested and it worked fine. Pool was staying clear so just let it ride until shutting it down.
Fast forward to this spring. Started getting it vacuumed and adding chemicals and salt and the reading was still low. Had the pool tech come out and look at the system. Ran some test different from the in store test that said the cell was the problem and that it needed to be replaced. I Replaced the cell with an off brand which is supposed to work fine and it worked great for a couple weeks and the pool started clearing up.
In the last few days the reading has started to be low again and not change when adding salt and my water has plateaud and not clearing up no matter what I do. I have flocked it twice, added phosphate remover, clarifier, shocked the crap out of it. Nothing clears up the water.
Test the water again at the pool store today and salt level is fine even though my board reads low. Now they are saying they don’t know what the problem is but it could be the off brand cell.
Does anyone work on pools or have any thoughts? I’m about ready to burn my house down because it has to be built on a Native American burial ground. Lived here 4 years with no issues, in the last month our 4 year old washer went out completely and had to be replaced, our master bath shower is now leaking as of yesterday, and the pool is a nightmare.

Chiki Tiki at burdines marina in marathon has great food on the water and the best fries ever.
Sharkys on key colony beach has a great happy hour. We park at both places with our 23 foot ski boat but there’s always bigger boats around.

re: Changing light switch

Update… I have the switches working. Turns out the common wire and one of the travelers were swapped. I am still getting a high resistance reading though on one of the wires. Should I be worried? And how do the switches work for 5 years with the wires crossed and then stop working? That makes 0 sense to me

Ok so there are 4 wires total. Copper grounded, red running to common, and black and white running travelers. Red and black both read 120v and white reads 40v. I’m seeing online that is probably just ghost voltage. However, when I check resistance on black and red it reads over 800-900 and white reads 0L. Like I said not an electrician but everything I read online it sounds like the wiring is going bad? House was built in 05 for reference

Ok they are for sure 3 way. So now I’m back to square one

I’ll have to double check but they were the ones the guy at Home Depot said

Well I just connected the wires back exactly like they were. So I would assume that isn’t the problem since they have worked the last 5 years.
Changing light switch
Posted by AUVet21 on 4/12/25 at 3:52 pm
Ok so I’m by no means an electrician and I’m fairly novice when it comes to electrical work… I have what I think is called a 2 way light switch that 2 switches control one light. They were not communicating correctly and would sometimes get stuck on or off. One switch seemed loose so I changed it and they still weren’t not communicating correctly. Changed the other one and now neither one will turn on at all. Any thoughts or help? Yes I turned the breaker back on at the end and the other lights on that breaker are working

Yes I know only 20 years late. But I was a kid when it came out. Always heard about it and saw commercials but just now watching it on Netflix. I am only a few episodes in but it looks good. I never knew the whole “sci-fi” angle of whatever is in the jungle. I just always assumed it was just a show with people lost on a deserted island trying to survive

What really sucks is Florida had to have Clayton go nuclear 3 games in a row to survive and he did… like he is the only reason why they were able to come back and beat UConn Texas tech and us. One so so game and they are out

When they flashed that stat up on the bottom line it pissed me off so bad cause I just knew that was a bad omen

I know it has been said but really it comes down to one thing. Clayton came out and was unguardable from the jump. He outscored miles, tahaad, and Denver by 9 by himself. That’s the game. We played great defense on everyone else for the most part and we just couldn’t do anything to slow him down which honestly surprised me knowing we could throw 3 very good defenders at him.

Anyone else listen to them? Stumbled upon them a while back thru Spotify suggestions. Pretty good country rock band

Gonna need tahaad to have his floaters on today and Denver to hit those elbow jumpers and we will be fine. If Dylan and johni can tire their big guy out that will do a lot
