What are two things Marshall can't do?

Answer put a complete sentence together and complete a pass for positive yards.

I don't see what the big problem is with trying JJ. The environment isn't that hostile, and the QB has great protection. It's not an impossible situation for a QB that can complete a forward pass. I understand the "don't burn the redshirt" angle, but the whole he'll get scarred angle is overblown. It's not that hostile out there.

You don't wanna put the freshman in this situation in my opinion. LSU is probably best defense we will face this season. It never goes well to just throw your future into that storm. JJ's time will come we just gotta hope that Nick can find some poise this half

Hasn't LSU only lost two night games in BR under miles?

So is THIS the official, annual 'Let's play the backup quarterback' Auburn fan thread?

For what reason I don't know. This is his 4th game ever at QB in D-1 against one of the best defenses in the SEC. Maybe, just maybe, he'll keep developing.

Well first if all, it's way too early to give up on Marshall. You pull Marshall now, you don't get him back.

Second, you really think a true freshman is going to do better?

Third, didn't we complain our coaches ruined Frazier by playing him too early and shattering his confidence?

Fourth, Baton Rouge is as hostile as you will get.

I could go on but I don't want to.

He recovered fairly well in the second half. Given the weather and the defense he faces, I'm not that pissed with his performance. Dude never quit

Dropped the long ball right into Coates' arms in stride, bout as well as it can be thrown in the 2nd half.

Wish he had that moxie and confidence like at the end of the MSU game to start the LSU game...

My concern, and the thing that has freaked me out all offseason is his interception stats in JUCO. He's already thrown at least 3 or 4 pics this year. He cannot keep doing that shite no matter how you look at it, because the teams in this conference are too good.

He's not bad either. He still has to grow as a qb in this league, but i'm glad he is the starter and think he has a chance to be really good by the end of the year and next year.

He's not great and he's not terrible. He's pretty much what we thought he was. I would still like to see more designed runs and vertical passes

This thread is kinda unfair because it was heat of the moment.

Marshall played poorly.

My opinion was if he did not show me something in the second half, I was done with him.

He did show he could complete the deep ball to Coates in the second. It was obvious he paused a full second to gather himself on that first deep one to make an accurate throw. Good. Had to at least show that improvement as I am sure we worked on it a lot recently.

Bottom line, he was terrible in the first half and really played a big role in getting us in a hole we could not dig out of. Other part of that was the defense giving up huge plays up the middle that were a joke. I am not happy with Marshall, but I'll stick with him and see what happens against Ole Miss. The rain in his first big road game was a tough situation, but he did play like shite that first half.

We will see. I expect a HUGE improvement between now and Ole Miss with the bye week and think it is definitely possible. Ole Miss is a winnable home game and a HUGE swing game right now. Not just for this year, but going forward. It is a BIG one IMO.
