That was self imposed 1.5 hr though right?

Sort of.

The plan was originally to move to Atlanta and suffer through it but I wound up getting a nice part-time job offer that was contingent on me hanging around Auburn.

Ended up helping because the only reason I got accepted to the Germany program was because I was able to overload on courses at Emory each semester for degree work and still turn around and take some German classes at Auburn on days I wasn’t up there. Been killer but I should be in good shape for a big-name German doctoral program by the time I finish out.

Thought you should know, in college I got a solid quality under armour Opelika HS shirt on clearance.

I remember when I was at Auburn doing post workout grocery runs at Kroger, cashiers/baggers would give me some seemingly dirty looks

How did you know what I was just thinking? And why did you feel it necessary to give me the bad news in the middle of my thought? Damn you man!

Watching The Americans finale again. frick, they knocked that shite out of park. One of my Top 5 all time shows. Other show runners and writers take heed; this is how you end a show that stays true to the show’s 6 year theme and don’t pander to the common denominator fans.

I'm now a lifelong Opelika HS fan because their UA shirt was $8 clearance while Auburn HS was $14

In an attempt to keep this thread going, anyone else like how they kinda low-key announce that Birmingham is getting a pro football team? Maybe is wasn’t that low-key, but it sure seemed like it to me

It actually doesn’t seem like it. Here are the coaches that have been announced so far: Steve Spurrier (Orlando), Dennis Erickson (Salt Lake City) and former NFL coaches Brad Childress (Atlanta) and Mike Singletary (Memphis).

Birmingham is supposedly announcing their coach tomorrow. Rumor is Tim Lewis (former Falcons coach) will be announced.

I go back and forth on it. On one hand I would love the sound bites, but on the other we wouldn’t win anything
