He fired him because he was recruiting for FAU and not focusing on the title game.

A risk? Quite the understatement.. like I said, he has a proven track record and he isn’t someone, I want or anyone should want, leading our program.

what happened at FAU other than two conference championships after three straight 3-9 seasons before he was hired?

Do you really think FAU and Auburn are comparable jobs? I would think his record, on and off the field, at USC and UT provide much more clarity.

then we do the exact same thing we've always done: fill the assistant roles with good Auburn Men™

He has an established history of very poor judgement, plain and simple.

It could be a massive cluster or glorious.

Anything beats this slow death by a thousand cuts I am watching now.

Some of us have been on the train for a while. His maturity issues are hopefully gone.

I've said this for years, Kiffin is like dating a stripper. You're in for some fun times that you'll be telling stories about for the rest of your life. You're also likely more to be stabbed at some point and being left with no furniture. But damn, that was something.

Kiffin is Ole Miss' coach .....He's their problem now.

He's not coming to Auburn. He gets to play Bama every year and never faces Georgia ....Why move?

I love how a lot of people act like Lane Kiffin has been to prison and got multiple teams the death penalty or something crazy.

What has he done other than talk a little trash on Twitter and to the media? That is refreshing to me considering we have had a "coach speak" robot at the helm for 7 years now.

Saban accused Kiffin of stealing defensive signals as reason why they gave up so many points/yards. Haha. We definitely need to hire Kiffin.

Lane Kiffin said he told Nick Saban after the game, "I thought they played defense in the SEC.”

On a side note what about Joe Brady? Is he still too young? His offense is sick
