I hope we see this move in the future. He's hella athletic but we only utilize him so much on the offensive side of the ball. He's a novelty on the offensive side of the ball. He's an All-American on the defensive side of the ball.

seems like an ideal candidate to play both ways.

He could be part of a rotation on the DL so he wouldn’t be out there on every snap, and we’re already using him as a situational player on offense.

I mean, but this isn't news to our staff either. It has always been talked about that he would be a stud DT. To a certain level, the kid gets a choice in this as well.

The Lane Train is already planning personnel moves for when he takes over as Auburn HC next year.

That is commitment, gentlemen.

Anyone know why Pegues was not utilized at all in the USC game? Was he banged up? He certainly was a major focal point in the GA game.

But I think I only saw him in the WC once and he handed off I think...

I thought when we were down inside the RZ a couple of times that they might use him as WC, especially when it was 1st and goal type opportunities.

-kiffin said.....along with anyone who has ever played or watched football with more than just a passing interest.

The guy's speed and size combo would be an absolute nightmare for OL everywhere. Even if he isn't as strong as the top DL right now, he is just a freshman. Put him on the weights and gain about 10 lbs and he would wreck shite on the DL.

I'm sure he could be some great defensive player.

I'm just pretty sure that just letting him bulldoze forward for 5yds per play every down may actually be better than Gus' typical offense

I said this from the get go and some of the experts on here told me I was full of it....repeatedly.

I kept saying we have 15 hb/te/fb and we cant even fill out a rotation at DT.

There are no 300 pound TEs in the NFL. This guy has the quicks of Warren Sapp and we are wasting him on gimmick plays on the wrong side of the field while some good TEs ride the bench.

Joey Gatewood and MAR say hi. Anyone take bets on what week MAR hits the portal...unless Kiffin is asking him to stay.

And before some of you say "He was promised he would be a TE thats why he came", well lets make a list of the players who were promised one position and ended up at another....and a good career. By the way Warren Sapp was a TE in high school....Im just sayin.

When we needed to go for 2, Gus put 89 at QB.

Great example of “going full Gus.”

Did not need a 2 point play.
Put a defensive tackle at QB.
Call play with multiple handoffs and laterals.

It is what it is.
