I’d say 50/50 chance. Either we do or we don’t. Could be next week or could be some other time

I've heard that there might be some indications that we probably could go after him, but it might not be him. Could be someone completely different and it could be no one. If it's no one, it wouldn't be announced today.

I think there will be some bigger targets than Salter, FWIW. Salter is most likely the fallback plan.

Someone is in the works. Not sure it is Salter but wouldn't surprise me. It would be a one and done situation. So either Duece or White would be the next person up. It would be interesting to see how Walker is picking up the offense and not staring down targets.

Sounds like there was a credit transfer issue and next year he’d be a graduate, so yeah, better chance he transfers.

If he has previous experience running Hugh’s offense at a high or effective level than bring him on.

Freeze recruited him at Liberty. The question is why didn’t he bring him to Auburn?

Not saying there aren’t bigger targets but I’m having a hard time coming up with names off the top of my head (don’t say Ewers). We want someone that will be day 1 ready, right? I’m going through all the “stats” on QB’s and don’t see a sure fire QB with eligibility. For a DT I’m seeing Wazzu’s Mateer (1500 pass yards and 500 rushing in 5 games). Avery Johnson? The BC QB? Maybe there will be some late risers come the end of the season. Are we looking at current backups? Wouldn’t seem ideal if we want a sure thing.

He had 2876 yds passing and 1089 yds rushing last year. That's a solid QB.

Absolutely. That’s not the point of my post though. We’re all aware of his production. My comment is a “if not Salter then who?”
