Say what? Everyone knows he’s getting fired. It’s just a matter of when. Optics mean nothing here. We all know he’s not a good fit for Auburn. We all know he’s not lighting up the recruiting trail. We all know his game planning is terrible.

First off, Napier is in his first season there and is trying to install his program. Napier has a Top 10 recruiting class in 2023. They have a win over Utah who just beat USC last night and their losses include a 5-point loss to Tennessee on the road, a 10-point loss to a tough Kentucky team (see: last night with Will Levis playing) and a 10-point loss to LSU which does in fact sit at 5-2 right now.
They have no "bad" losses in year #1 and their recruiting is working. On what planet is that worse than Harsin LOL?

Tennessee was JTBT for over a fricking decade and in 18 months, they usurped Bama in the TSIO, have a Heisman candidate at QB, and are more than likely one UGA victory away from being a national championship contender.

I would imagine it would be easier to remove firing Harsin from the new AD'S hands. You don't have to worry about forcing him to do something like firing someone right off the bat or him possibly going rogue and deciding he wanted to give Harsin another year to right the ship.

Even if you want to say that he's a bad coach, he is at least recruiting. Bryan Harsin isn't and hasn't done either (good coaching or good recruiting) in 1.5 seasons here. To suggest that Napier is "worse than Harsin" is next level idiocy for that reason alone.

Yeah that’s dumb to say hey we want you to be the new AD but your first assignment is firing the head football coach that has a huge buyout so a good portion of sidewalk fans are going to hate you from the start
