Here is a quote from him after averaging 7 ypc:
quote:

“Early in the game we had a couple big runs and then later in the game we had a couple of big runs against them.” Hunter said. “I mean, we could have ran the ball all day. We just had to execute in some areas.”

I don't think he is the type of guy to ever just come out and call for himself to get more carries. I think something like the part I folded is as critical he would get I just do not understand not playing to the strengths of your team. He needs 20 carries MINIMUM. He had less than 15 again today.

Every running back is going to say that if they averaged 1.5 yards per carry.

Just to be frank I am incredibly frustrated with it as well. I keep reminding myself Freeze typically does not feature the RB a whole lot, but I also wonder would it alter the learning curve of the Freeze offense if he would just line it up in a two tight end formation and run the ball like RBU and steal a win.

We ran the ball 31 times today and passed it 27 while being down in the game.

If it makes you feel any better, I know for a fact lot of bama dudes thought they were going to win the championship this year because they thought they had the best rushing attack in Jam Miller and the other guy. Each of those dudes are getting like 5 carries a game.

Watch the “o” line blocking

First play “73” misses his block and Thorne is tackled for a loss.

The entire first half “73” should be out there with a cape. He doesn’t block anyone.

On the 4th and 1….Thorne resets two blockers, “you block him, and you block him” then loses two yards when he tries to run. Hunter had an open path on the counter back inside.

Freeze should have shoved his headset up Thorne’s butt at the bench. The whole demeanor of the offense changed there.

However NO TURNOVERS! One win. Now work on the scoreboard.

He needs the ball 25 times a game. We would have lost yesterday but it would have been our first loss. I can’t see why Freeze doesn’t see that. He’s got a Palomino in the barn and he keeps riding his donkey.

How about one that is averaging 7 per carry and at least 5.6 or more in the other losses?

Everytime Freeze freaks out on Thorne on the sidelines the whole offense turns to shite. Same thing against OU.

0 turnovers isn’t a nothing stat. But it needs to be a trend, not a one off.

Well what do you expect? Freeze to adjust his coaching style to the actual playing style and personality of the players on the roster?

Franky it's ridiculous for him to keep doing that. The dude already has to have zero confidence knowing 90 percent of the fanbase hates him. He's got to be miserable. Either simplify things, take him out, or save your rages for away from the cameras and teammates.

I agree Randy, particularly when Freeze is wrong.

that fourth down play, he was going to hand it to Hunter until the DL six inches in front of Hunter had already outstreched his arms to tackle him, with two other players behind him to finish it off, that play had no chance of success.

Heck even the announcers questioned why Freeze was bitching at him.

Surely we can find a better option at LT. He is overweight and slow footed.

He’s smarter than our coaches.

Many have said if we run the ball 65-70% of the time we likely only have 1 loss this season.

Yesterday Hugh let Thorne go 16/27 and our running backs only got 31 carries.

fricking ridiculous play calling and it’s the reason we keep losing.

It would be a great time to develop Hank. Let the RB's carry the load so Hank can get a feel for being a college QB and finally it'll slow down for Hank.
