Sup good people. Man this board is dry. Feel free to spice it up here today. Its Friday and we have a big game tomorrow.

Need some orders so if any of yall need fishing equipment, send em my way. The bad weather in the south has our business a little slow right now. Unfortunately.

I wish things were slow around here. I have been working long hours but still managing to watch the basketball games although I have had to record some of them. I hope that all members of the Auburn family have a wonderful Friday and an awesome weekend. War Eagle!

Unfortunately, I dont think that is going to happen. 6 weeks ago, I activated my training classes for my Coast Guard OUPV Captains license training. I have spent over 100 hours learning everything I need to know to pass the Coast Guard Captains test to get my license. I have 4 tests to take that have a 60% failure rate on the first try. LOL. I took 2 of them yesterday, I am taking one this afternoon and one tomorrow. This will allow me to do charter trips in the Gulf of America.

Plus, last Monday I met with an investor and got approved to move forward with expanding my tackle business to Salt Water (Chex would be proud). I basically have check in hand. So, after I finish these tests and do vacation next week, I will be doing a timeline to expand my business by a lot the following week.

So no Jones, I am never retiring.

Very quiet. I think the A&M game definitely puckered some buttholes.

What products you sell?

Congrats. My cousin is a charter captain. He loves it- salt is in his veins, but tough work. Hats off to ya. Congrats.

Yea, no congrats yet. I am far from passing my test at this point.

I have to admit that this has been very difficult for me. Not being in "school" or any kind of training for over 35 years has been an experience. There is a lot of memorization in this and it's written in a totally new "language" . It's Coast Guard terminology. So I had to learn a lot of new things, in a new language.

Will be happy if I pass.

I think the cooler than normal weather has set up back a bit. I think it is about to warm up. Hell, it was in the 40's here this morning. That's just wrong

I will stop by and check out your apparel. I have a huge new order of shirts and hats that just came in. I honestly dont like to do apparel because my margin is just too low but I do it anyway.

Working on O&G projects sourcing steel, wood, bulks etc. with most of the major clients and suppliers in Canada, so it's been a fun few weeks... may need to be in Calgary or Vancouver probably during March Madness which would suck.

Hey Lanier, how do we order your gear? Do you have an on line store?

I am headed to Lake Seminole on Sunday for a week of fishing. Too late to get anything for this trip but will need to restock afterwards.

Looking forward to watching us beat the turds again tomorrow. Unfortunately for me, looks like all of our tourney games next weekend will be at noon, will have to try to listen on the radio. Hopefully get to see some good highlights afterwards.

I’m still here, just been lurking and not posting lately. Nothing new on the recruitment of my son, hoping he shows out this fall.

Slow for me also. Not many companies looking at contracts or cyber services right now so looking for a Full time remote position or something else now.

Like the weather down here though. Still cool enough.

Will do. My plan is to start with a good bit of terminal tackle. I think my area is going to be my initial area to try and get established. Probably gonna have egg sinkers, swiveled egg sinkers, drop shot weights, some jigheads, probably a plastic shrimp and head for it to go on and things like that.
I have some swimbait stuff now but will modify it for saltwater and stick with those type of things. That is what I have been doing for all my years.

Its going to take a while. I have a lot of preliminary work to get done before I can get this going. I really wasnt wanting to work this hard but I seem to be a gluten for punishment.

Took my General seamanship and deck test today. Rules of the Road tomorrow and I will be done and can see if I passed or not.

Then I can legally do charters in my spare time
