With Under Armour wanting to cut ties with more colleges, what is Auburn’s future with Under Armour?

Hopefully brief. Hopefully we swap to Adidas or Jordan. Both are significantly better than UA in product quality, and would likely offer a much sweeter deal than Nike.

UA just got dropped from S&P 500. Hell yeah they are dying brand. They had a shoe deal with Steph Curry, a top ten player in NBA history and can’t even muster any good PR out of that. If any thing the Chef shoe put out became a joke.

What’s the AU contract with UA term wise?

Our HS has been an UA school for 6-7 years. We've been pretty happy with our gear/uniforms, but their running shoes are trash for the most part.

Jordan brand is owned by Nike. The only brand we could move to that would give us equivalent bang for buck would be Adidas and I’m sure Adidas is well aware of that.

I’ve was a big fan of UA for a long time but the last 10 years, I could buy 10 of the same shirts, same size and two wouldn’t fit the same way. Not sure how it is possible but their QC is horrible.

Please god no on the Adidas. Their looks like absolute garbage.

I'd be perfectly fine just moving to Nike, and calling it a day.

I am not sure Nike would be a good option for us. They did us so dirty Tubs had the equipment guy put tape over the swoosh.

Our options would be limited.

What did they do to make Tubs do that? I don't remember that story, but Tubs had proven to be kind of a whiny bitch

I am not sure. He said Nike was not living up to their commitment. He would not show the swoosh. We went to UA right after that. That's all I know.

I’d rather Adidas too. Jordan is under the Nike umbrella but we’d still get a better deal from them than Nike. We just don’t add enough to Nike for them to offer us much.
