Is being a triple pump chump a requirement for being an Auburn QB?

First Thorne, then Arnold, and now this crap.

It’s pretty remarkable how consistently awful at seeing the field our QB’s are. He did another one on a 3rd down play where he had a great shot play along the sideline if he anticipated it.

I remember the 1 3rd down play where Singleton was 8 yards behind the defense, but instead, Brown lobs one 5 yards downfield that almost was intercepted.

In relative terms, not a bad play, considering he throws a pick on this drive.

Yea that was a completely different 3rd down play he missed

It's really impressive in a sad way. Also impressive is the head coaches always stick with these guys to the bitter end almost, despite how terrible they play. Which I'm expecting Golesh to do with Brown both because of the NIL spent and because he's Golesh's boy.

I'm beginning to believe that the nil agreement says something about not being benched

this crap.
TWO wide open receivers breaking on the route With a clean, open pocket and Brown can’t step up and let it rip
Aaron Murray would eat this breakdown alive, as he’s done in the years past.

To be honest, whoever drew up those routes should be fired. You have 4 receivers running sit down routes. The piss poor design is why there is no place to go with the ball. The running back sitting down holds the lb in the middle of the field which fricks up the passing lane for the slot receiver running a square in. The running back needs to be breaking to the sideline to take the lb with him, leaving the slot open in the middle of the field. The outside receiver needs to either run a go route or a post. That either leaves him one on one with a safety or it pulls the cb up the field and out of the flats leaving the RB open should the LB not follow.
Edit: WTF would you have two receivers running dig routes at the same level coming from opposite sides of the field. The bottom corner has inside leverage, get up the field.

There’s a reason the guy played four years of G6 ball. That he didn’t correct that goofy arse throwing motion of his years ago tells me a lot. He is not cut out for SEC football.

Mirrored passing plays are incredibly common

Very common does not equal a good scheme. What sense does it make to design a play that holds the lb’s in the middle of the field and then runs receiver action in behind them? You’re forcing your qb to have to throw up and over them. The defense is in zone coverage which means you want to hit your receivers in the hole of the zone, but you can’t because your running back sits down between the two lb’s in the middle of the field and clogs up the passing lane. He needs to get to the flats which pulls the lb with him and opens up the passing lane to the slot. If the lb stays, you have a back in the flats with a one on one vs a corner and a recover down field to throw a block. As the play is drawn up and develops, there’s no leverage to take advantage of because there’s none designed into the play.

The h back hold the Lb’s down, which happened. It actually creates an incredibly easy read for the QB and created a window in the gap between the Lb’s and Safeties when they are in zone. The video shows just that. It’s actually a very good scheme. Poor execution by the QB doesn’t make it a bad play design. He had easy windows for both receivers and missed both of them. That is user error, not design or scheme error. It’s a common concept because it actually is a good one when you are facing those type of coverages. He also missed an open throw on the hitch at the top. Ultimately, just a terrible play by Brown.
Are you equally against mirrored crossing routes?

Thanks Go Crazy,
And its what we keep saying he just holds the ball too long.
One earlier where the commentator even mentioned the receiver was open. He cut across the middle, the CB was flat footed, thow it, instead he waited another second the safety closed and then he threw it 600 MPH at the back hip of the receiver and it careened off him.
Thrown on time the receiver would have gone right past the safety for a huge gain.

No one at Auburn knows what a good QB is. Not PTB, not AD, not Golesh. No one. And it’s been that way for years.
If they aren’t throwing money at the Oregon St QB, they don’t know what it takes to win.
