B1G won the NC 2 years in a row, gotta respect that

Cignetti Basically took all his best players with him to Indiana which helped with the culture change, think it was 11 or so transfers. That wouldnt work at bigger programs with dogs already in place.

Curt wins everywhere he goes.

"Once I am mod you're outta here."

Are you really threatening someone on an anonymous message board with a spanking because you think you are going to be a mod?!! Delusion at its finest and did I read your dumbass wanted Deion as our HC? I don't believe I would have ever admitted that even anonymously.

So, you are juvenile and childish too. We got it. Are you in middle school. Please don't be an AU alum I have lurked on here for years and I have a pretty good idea who is who and what they are about.

The guy knows and can coach QBs. And he took great advantage of the portal, - something that was not possible in the past.

With that in 2024 he became better than a lot of really, really bad teams on his schedule.

Two good and clutch wins in 2025 - credit to him.

But you can't overlook that down the stretch, IU played:
Michigan State, UCLA, Maryland, Penn State, Wisconsin and Purdue.
These teams are really, really bad.

Cignetti doesn't suck and he knows QBs, and most other coaches suck.
No miracles here. Pretty similar to Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss.

Yep, if it can be done at Indiana it can be done most anywhere (P4) with the right staff/players/vision.

Name a year we won something with an avg QB? NEVER

1983 comes to mind
1993 also comes to mind
If we go way back we can go
1910
1913
1914
1958

If you want to clarify we won something...we can go and look at 9 or more wins...but you would need to specify "we won something"

Indiana and Vandy have elite college QBs. This is the main reason they are winning. They also can recognize talent on defense which doesn’t always have to be the 5*’s. The fact Freeze didn’t go after either is the reason we suck. We had Cam and Nick, we were elite. Name a year we won something with an avg QB? NEVER

College football has changed. I believe it is a must to have a QB and that that guy be the best player on the field. Not the same as 25 years ago when you could win with a good defense.

Offense is king and not having that key piece has certainly hurt us. Plus the guys we have had were unsuccessful at developing the guys we did bring in.

Yes, and with the portal, no excuse not to have at least above average QB play at a top 15 program. This shows if your coach sucks or doesn't (don't care if he is CEO, defense or offense).

Or if your coach hasn't really noticed how good today's top shelf quarterback REALLY is.

It's no longer good enough to be able to throw across the field without interceptions. Top tier QB's make this play while putting it where only their receiver can make he play. It's not mere mechanics it's a precision driven mental game. In stride, to the right guy, or not at all. Not if they're thinking NFL. Their interceptions come from tips, attempting last minute heroics, and for some reason not seeing the defender.

I'm not sure Hugh really stayed abreast of what's required. As evidenced by our over paying for what we got and their inability to make a difference. It's simply not the same game that they played in. And I'm tired of watching the other QB and saying wow that's how you throw the ball.

You and these message boards are pure entertainment to me. Please don't get the wrong idea in your simple mind that an anonymous message board argument with a simpleton causes me stress. Hell, you are a toy to play with while I deal with cancer related stuff. So thanks and carry on chief. BTW, I never block, ignore or report anyone on an anonymous message board so you can be as childish and juvenile as you are capable of and it's all good. I am here for it.

And there was 2013. It's not like the cupboard was empty in 2012's 3 cupcake win season.
