I wouldn't get too rustled over 22 kids ATM. We show competence on the field, and doors will open. We shouldn't expect elite QBs and RBs when we are passing on local 4* OL.

We needed him to be a kickstart of ‘22

According to KN Auburn is out of the running for Gunner Stockton, all hail Bobo,
I tried to tell people Bobo was over rated as a recruiter. Stockton was supposed to be a lock to wherever Bobo went. I'm gassing up my Thomas Castellanos bandwagon now though, feel free to get on board whenever you want.. He's smaller, but he's every bit as good as Stockton and plays tougher competition.

I argued against you in the other thread, so I will give you your credit here

I think he will still do fine for the record, I don't think we are going to be bottom of the SEC or anything..I just don't think he's an elite recruiter. I talked last week about Stockton and the level of competition he was facing as well. It sucks to miss out on a top QB but he wasn't some can't miss prospect either imo.

Stockton just committed to UGA lol.

Sheesh. Guess we'll need some on field results before recruiting picks up.

I agree but QB is the exception. QBs tend to go early.

We’ve been connected to a lot of ‘22 QBs but a lot of those connections were through Chad Morris so it’s hard to know right now who we’re pursuing.

Names to watch:

4* MJ Morris
4* Jacurri Brown
4* Cade Klubnik
4* Tanner Bailey
3* Holden Geriner

More on Jacurri Brown —

He says Bobo was the first to offer him several years ago when he was at CSU. He talked to Bobo just last night.

He was previously linked to Florida but they just lost their OC/QB coach and that’s a big blow for UF’s chances. He says relationships are important to him. Anyway, he doesn’t seem to be in a hurry

You also said Stockton didn’t count as a recruitment which is what most people had a problem with

I really, really don’t want to go down this road. jt33 said he was done with the argument a few weeks ago in the other thread and it’s disappointing to see him revive it in this thread today because he feels like he got a win.

We’re going to miss and hit on a lot of recruits in the upcoming years. Let’s not revisit this everytime each one happens.

Thanks guys

Nah. We're gonna keep people accountable!

Fire an assistant coach every time he loses a recruiting battle.

This is a really good list. I'm not concerned about the QB position, at all. Harsin recruited highly ranked QB's to Boise State FFS. Two weeks ago I had never heard of Gunnar Stockton.

Kirby is just as much of a QB killer as Gus. I don't get it unless thUGA is still handing out happy meal$.

I think its completely fair to point out that Stockon was considered a lock to follow Bobo wherever he was. I didn't go hard on him, I said he will still do ok and we will get good players.. This is a big swing and miss for him though. Thats fair criticism.

Here's the Thomas Castellanos Jr season film for anyone who wants to hop on the bandwagon with me and get this thing rolling. Right now Ga Tech is the favorite I believe. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/9972605/5ff89d544ba7f70ad0670b54

Good. I didn't want to root for a kid named Gunner anyways.

Do you think Castellanos has size issues? He’s listed on 247 as 5-11 190. While there have certainly been several college QBs that have been in the 6’ range that have been extremely successful (Kyler, Baker, Russ Wilson) it is not as likely. Is he young for a Jr and may still hit a growth spurt?
