He should be on the phone trying to get Coach O. The guy can’t talk, but recruits like a beast.

He doesn’t seem like a Harsin guy to me

Start the Harsin Coach Rehabilitation center. I like the idea.

I think it’s clear Harsin is serious about winning. I also don’t see a position that I’d place him on this staff that is recruit-facing. We don’t have a need for another position coach on D.

And also, his reputation has taken a serious hit. How can he sell himself to recruits families now?

He’s likely going to need to take some time away.

You expect a guy like Harsin, who's entire "thing" is "culture" to bring on Oregeron, given what is floating around on him right now?

I think you'll be disappointed if you see this as a move that is a possibility.

Consider that we needed OL help badly (especially at OT) and we made no move on Dare Rosenthal - the kid from LSU who had started games in the SEC and was dismissed.

Harsin won't compromise his integrity.

I wouldn't be opposed to bringing him in as an analyst to help boost recruiting a little bit.

I'd much rather go after Clay Helton than O for some sort of coaching rehab thing.

He sure as hell better not go to Bama as many do. So hell I’ll take him as an intern, analyst, or whatever the hell Saban hires them as.

Even in the limited time we've experienced Harsin, who in their right mind would think he and Ed O would get along on a regular basis?

Did I miss where Coach O was fired ?

LSU and Ed Orgeron have mutually agreed to part ways after the 2021 season, sources tell
@ClowESPN
and
@Mark_Schlabach
. (First reported by Sports Illustrated)

Apparently , I did.

Huh.

Harsin doesn’t appear to be concerned with recruiting roles when forming his staff.

We usually talk about a spectrum of coaches from developers to recruiters but really I think he just wants a wholesome staff. If he doesn’t care about having enough recruiters or developers on his staff he probably doesn’t feel compelled to hire a retread.

I could see Harsin building a staff similar to Mark Sfoop’s. Stoops brought in a couple coaches that develop and recruit to their system, and their system is doing well.

You must have. They had a presser this afternoon, Coach O included, and he will coach the rest of the season. They are going in a different direction next year.

Guess it shows that I read headlines and then skip the bottom of the thread.
