I don't remember UConn or Miami being all the great under him.

The U to some degree recruits itself

No one is saying hire him next month for AU. Just RL is a way better coach than CM. Disappointing seasons follow CM.

You are right. We will probably hire somebody like Andy Reid instead.

Thank you. Glad somebody gets it.

It will be Rhett and he will inherit the least talented roster we've had since Clinton was in office

No. We couldn't pull off Jeff Grimes. It will be Rhett. The results will look like Gus. Which would be better than Harsin

Correct

It could be. Better start getting used to the idea.

Have you actually watched a Grimes call a game? If you hate Harsin's west coast offense, you will jump off a cliff for Grimes less efficient version of it.

Oh I've known Rhett and our head coaching job have been on a collision course since he weaned himself off Gus' D cup teet

I said his name only because I've heard it here, not because I want him. You can sub virtually any name not Rhett you want

Not to mention he's only been an OC for four years. Not sure I get the fascination.

And he coached at Boise State too

Do you think I'm fascinated by him being our coach. I said his name only because people here seem to get a hardon for him

If Rhett doesn’t have booster support, which he doesn’t. It will (most likely) not be Rhett.

If Jacobs was still here, sure, I get the argument (even if it lacks substance, the motivation is understandable). Jacobs is gone and Rhett has none of the support nor momentum that Gus had coming in back in 2013.

More likely that the PTB are successful with the Steele thing this time than Lashlee.

It kind of seems like it. And you are comparing him to Lashlee (and Morris) when Lashlee actually has a better resume at this point.

Grimes is an OL coach who has somehow got an OC job. If we want to throw a career position coach to the wolves Grimes wouldn't be my first choice

I was talking about Grimes. I've made zero comparison to him and anyone. Only 2 I compared were Morris and Lashlee, and only in the sense that Morris followed Bret at Arkansas, and someone compared Harsin and Bret. I was jokingly saying we are following in Arkansas' footsteps. But both of you have clearly shown me with you infinite wisdom that Rhett really has proven he is an excellent coach, he must have won several conference championships as an OC

Nobody said that. Maybe read what we said again.

But we did point out that he wasn't any worse than Grimes as a candidate.

Andy Reid it is

We couldn't hire any coach on an NFL staff in any capacity.

We always hire solidly average coaches, and Rhett fits that bill

This tread is going to be real quiet after Auburn wins Saturday.
