Sending the house on 4th down on UW’s last drive was great too.
But I guess he’s giving credit for these calls to Chip and Steele.

You’re a fricking idiot lol

I didn't like the call to start with, but when I stepped back and thought about it... Good. It was an aggressive call against a top tier opponent. Gus rolled the dice, came short, and still won.

I hated the two point call but if he would have made it, we would have loved it.
It was unnecessary. In defensive dogfights, every point is needed. The second one was understandable.

The play calling? I thought that was Chip now.
Not sure who is calling the plays now. Wasn’t Gus holding a play sheet, and didn’t the announcers say that Chip stood thirty yards down the field?

Him and Jang are not on the Gus Bus.
I’ve seen too many failed HB dives up the middle for me to know Gus isn’t going to adapt his playbook to his personnel any more. He was constantly ramming small and ineffective Martin into the A gap and only once did Martin break through. Gus would’ve been the guy that tried to slam Gaskin into Dontavious Russel 15 times a game while wondering why Dontavious wouldn’t break. Gus is screaming at halftime that “we have to be able to run the ball while “I’m saying we have to adapt the gameplan!”
Early on, we were chewing up yards with the intermediate passing game against their great secondary in the middle of the field, but it’s like we reverted back to our shell. We cannot do that against teams like Washington with a good secondary because our OL isn’t going to blow up holes. If we are too timid to throw it deep like we were today, we have to generate other ways to move the ball and to keep defenders on their heels.

If there is any trickey that deserves mad props, it wasn't the fricking 2 point conversion. It was the fake kneel at halftime that was nearly busted out. That was sweet.

No offense, but you don’t really know what you’re talking about.

Easier to say that to me than to show me...

Exactly. All they do is throw insults, while we give valid points

That game just validates this thread dumbass
No, it really doesn’t. You hate Gus so much that you can’t be objective and, therefore, all information that you see is conformational.

So you include 2 Gus’s SEC west “championships” but not Pete’s two PAC 12 North division championships.
You’re either steering down a road of ignorance or of unethical debate.

Include it and Gus’s resume is still better.

Actually, the site I pulled that info from didnt list them and I am no Pac 12 guru. I will add them for you. I was not leaving them off on purpose.

Now we can throw recruiting rankings and player talent in there if you want but to offset that, we are also going to have to talk about Strength of schedule and toughness of conference and I dont think you guys really want to do that.

Gus is way better than most give him credit for...what team has played five top 6 teams in there last six games?
You don't judge a painting looking at it from 6 inches away...you'll see all the cracks and imperfections. Step back and enjoy the big picture.

Its really comical at times. Some of it is coming from our obvious trolls but some of these guys are better than that.

For me, Pete is still tbe best at development and play calling. Those two factors are the ultimate criteria is it not? Last night wasn’t his best game, but there is a reason why he’s known for being a big game coach.
