AU football was fun to watch, Every game Day wasnt a dreadful Experience, we didnt suck..... Why oh why CTT did you become Lazy on the recruiting Trail

Because Tuberville could beat our rivals. Granted Gus is dealing with a different beast in Bama but with Tubs we knew we could win any game most years. With Gus we know we aren't beating elite teams.

He also benefited from those programs being weak. They weren’t generally elite when we beat them under Tubs

I seem to remember AU beating two #1 teams in three weeks with Stidham at QB. If KJ doesn't get injured, AU probably goes to the playoffs.

We can definitely beat top tier teams at times, just not when it matters. Made a great run in 2013, got to the national championship and blew an 18 point lead. Went on a great run in 2017, but shite the bed in the SEC championship and embarrassed ourselves against UCF. I don’t believe this team has the potential to beat any top tier team. Especially when Alabama, LSU, and Georgia are playing well and improving right now. We seem to be getting worse.

My argument is that Gus isn’t all that different than Tubbs.
You said we can’t beat elite teams. Yet we kept Bama from winning their third title in a row. We beat UGA and Bama back to back when they were at their peak.
We have years when we can beat anybody. And we have meh years. Same as Tubs era
