Invited to a semi close friend's wedding, but I am definitely expected to attend. out of all the weekends - the Auburn/UGA night. Who does that?!

Any game outside of Alabama or UGA I probably wouldn't even consider not going but this is always an important game.

I may have to skip. Or I could go to the actual ceremony and leave after, skipping the after party.

Two years ago a friend of mine got married in town.

I went.

We all watched the game on our cell phones at the reception.

Females probably planned the wedding. I wouldn’t go unless I was part of the ceremony. Have not went to several functions. Recently a good friend wanted to have his bachelor party and Braves game during the Washington weekend in Atlanta, but didn’t want to see or accomadate me during the Auburn game. Told the idiot soon to be groom Nuh Uh, we could’ve saw the Braves play during the boring offseason.

I've been to several events and funtions during an AU game. I went to a wedding 2016 UGA game and they put the game on a projector after half time. I don't think it's a big deal to go to a wedding during a game, especially if it's on Friday night.

You can watch from pretty much anywhere with your cell phone. May have to get the CBS all access pass for this one though.

If you're seriously considering not going, give us the details. Is it local? How big is the wedding?

Obviously you're not in it and you're not family, and it sounds like it's not a best/lifelong friend, so my starting point is that it's probably ok for you to skip it.

I misread. Thought it said Friday Wedding instead of Friends Wedding.

Yeah, no. Statistically speaking, you will be committed to AU football longer than they will be committed to each other.

Don’t go. Don’t even consider it.

We live in the Deep South. Football is king. A couple can choose to get married on any weekend of the year. If you live in Kentucky you don’t get married on the weekend of the kentcky derby. It shows you are self absorbed. And self absorbed people need to be taught a lesson.

If they choose an important football weekend, they obviously don’t care if there is a large turnout.

The only people I would miss the DSOR for is for my immediate family or my children.

Cousin? Game on
Friends? Game on
Work friend? Game on
Church friend? Game on

We watched the 2013 LSU game from our cell phones at a wedding reception. It was a bad look but football is just that important

Your friend is getting married.

Maybe I'm getting old, but I'd go to the wedding.

Don't get me wrong, I'd bitch about it, but I'd go.
