Freeze loves throwing players under the bus.

Hey Hugh, now is the time. Get out there and do what you do.

I'm wondering if he has the ability to pivot and learn that whatever he's saying to our roster isn't working. Before the off-season we all spoke about retention did we not? They spoke about a war chest of 30 million did they not? Now we get these stories about how all of these guys have attitude problems and we'd be better off without them from so called "insiders"? I'm wondering if he believes that he can just develop his way to a title without roster retention and elite recruiting. That's what I'm rambling on about lol

Welcome to the new CFB. Soon they'll be wrecking their lambos drunk and choking their gf's.

What do you expect when you give a bunch of 18-21 year olds hundres of thousands of dollars.

It's not only Auburn. Remember when Judkins held out at Ole Miss for more money DURING the season.

Biggest problem is you can't "fire" or take away their money because of anti-trust and attorneys

Alex needs to wake up and understand that his philosophy will get him fired before he even gets started.

Ill lay money we win more games than this year. He didnt get here at his age because of the buddy system. He knows what a roster should look like and is too young to tank his career just for a buyout. He knows more than we do and if hes sitting on 30m and letting these faces of the team walk then there's a replacement.

Reading that article felt dirty. Author seems to have ulterior motives.

Thank you for the January 2026 reminder of how bad Harsin was.

I can clearly see you never played anything under these conditions.

Lunatic perfectly describes your level of sanity here.

AI generated nonsense. What happened to Stultz to get him on a Z tier site?

Paying a player an insane amount of money to suit up for a game tells any sensible person that we have a problem. The players need to understand that they can either be an insufferable prima donna or a team player and that only the latter have a place on the Auburn team.

Everyone, at least anyone who might be considered a P4 contender, has a $30M war chest. Every player is now a free agent and out to bid every year.

Does anyone actually believe this? If true then our players were admirably highly professional on the field this year.

In 2012 90% of the players quit.

Coach could suspend players that threaten to do that.

So 136 FBS schools x 105 children per team ~ 14K plus children who were on an FBS team last year. Figure 20% to 25% are out of eligibility and a smaller number either declared early for the draft or quit for other reasons. That means that 40% to 45% of all returning players who hope to play next year are in the portal.

Please explain to me how this is sustainable.

I think it includes walk-ons, but it's still over a third, and still a cluster
