Let him recruit at a high level for a few more years and then fire him if he can’t put it together on game day
years ago, I would have agreed with that. With the new rules, its not really the way to go. If he cant coach on game day, he is not going to learn. You can bring talent in and go 4-8 and the talent will leave.
Its just not the same game anymore. You cant stack talent on a terrible football program. That talent will GTFO. Just wait till the end of this horific season

Money people have his back. He’s fine for at least two more years.

3-9 and you have no choice. Chizik won a natty and was fired for 3-9.

I don't think he should be fired but at some point people are going to say "why are we not improving from week to week?" The team today looked no better than the team that lost to Maryland. They haven't gotten any better on either side of the ball and in some cases we look worse.

We are not firing 2 coaches in 4 years in any circumstance.

That happens at literally every school if you’re not winning

Because the team gave up on him, not just for the record.
That team would have gotten blown out

Agreed but he's not a good coach

It would be catastrophic. We are married to the scum for at least a few more years.

No he’s not. We’ve regressed in year 2 under him.

It doesn’t matter. Let a damned coach build his foundation and make necessary changes. If it doesn’t work out after 4-5 years, move on, so long as he’s recruiting well and adjusting.
Yes, a good chunk of the reason we have personnel issues is because we fired one winning coach, replaced him with someone we apparently never wanted (and used Internet rumors to undermine), and now want to replace the current coach.
Recruits aren’t fans. They generally sign up for facilities and stability.

Recruits sign up for money nowadays. And they don’t have to stay after a year. That’s what we’re dealing with now.

He’ll be firmly on the hot seat next year

Anyone expecting to start winning 8 games in year 2
We won 7 last year and gave away a couple. 8 games in year two should not be unrealistic.
We are looking at 4, maybe 5. This team has regressed.

Wrs look better. KLS is doing a lot of heavy lifting sure but everybody is getting open often. I see Lewis and Jackson open all the time. And the o line looks better every week too. Secondary lost a starter today and outside of 3rd and 19 still played plenty well enough. There was plenty of good on the field if people could open their eyes to it. All that progress doesn't get seen tho when you turn the ball over 5 mf times.

I’m tired of sucking and firing coaches. Y’all let me know how I’m supposed to feel because losing to Cal and Arkansas any season, especially in the first 4 games, is always going to suck regardless of where the most recent of our rebuild is

Freeze better start stockpiling some cash because he's going to need a good portal qb.
