For clarification, when did you jump off the Gus Bus?

Secretly or publicly, what game did it for you?

2015 JSU

I still maintain that 2014 TAMU is his worst loss at Auburn, but 2015 JSU did it for me. 2018 Tennessee was also horrible as well as 2020 USCe. All glaring losses during the tenure.

2016 UGA

Got back on for a short lived 3 or 4 weeks in 2017, then was off for good. Emotion in Gus's Auburn program is a bad investment.

I was done with him at the end of the 2015 season, though I didn't realistically think we could fire him then. After the Georgia game in 2016 I 100% wanted him gone.

I can’t even remember. Every season has basically felt the same.

When he rotated three QBs in the Clemson game.

I was at that game. I’ve never seen a collective group of fans appear so puzzled.

Can I just be an old guy and say that it was a damn long time ago? Without being exact?

He absolutely broke my passion for the program. And, damn, I miss that passion. But I just don't give a shite anymore when it comes to Auburn football. After Pat Dye rebuilding this program from ashes and cinders to be a damn SEC power to *this*? Yeah... frick Gus Malzahn.

Of course, there is a matching old guy to me who loves him some Gus and the direction the football program is taking and has been in full support of it for some time.

That's the game where I first started to worry we'd made a mistake and realized our coach was borderline. But I wasn't off the bus yet.

I should correct and say that’s when I realized he was in over his head. I just thought he needed to get back to a read option QB at that point.

I stopped caring about Auburn football after the 2018 Georgia loss. That was my line in the sand. Today was the first game I’ve watched start to finish since then and that was only because my boat is in the shop.

Was that the game that Sean White was so injured that he couldn’t even throw a pass? And we had others on the bench that could? If so, then, yeah, that was it for me too.

I don't remember that specifically but could have been. I just remember that was a bad Georgia team and we went in there and looked like a completely incompetent mess on offense. I was out of town at an Auburn viewing party in Austin, TX. Everyone else was in a good mood shooting the shite at their respective tables while I was ready to tear all the TVs off the damn walls.

Sometime in 2015 or 2016, can’t remember. Lanier got off the bus in 2020, he was a loyal bus rider.

Hard question. The JSU game was a red flag, but I was still supportive of the program. The countless UGA games. I think 2018 UT was when I didn't care about the recruiting and wanted him gone. So it happened over a few years. For some reason, I thought he would go back to zone read so I held out.
