Yes we only have 16 Seniors and only expect a couple guys to go into the draft. So I’d say somewhere around 19-21 recruits.

Some guys will leave the program for opportunity to play after they have been jumped by freshmen. It’s just how it is now.

Speaking of edges, Im keeping an eye on Trenton Henderson. Bellatoni was recruiting that kid before he got to Auburn, been on him for years, we had the little NIL hiccup and he ends up at LSU. Sure hate to face that kid for 4 years he is gonna be a good one.

I haven't been paying as close attention, new job and kids sports are kicking my arse. But what was the NIL hiccup? We went from top 10 to 50 or 60 something, now fighting to get back up. What happened, and who should have been fired?

Cohen came out and said they were offering no deals until the NIL court settlement and rule changes went into effect. All the croots began leaving, putting AU at like 60th. Then the court case was settled, AU began offering again, and have been able to climb back into top 20.

Apparently the new rules basically ban collectives which I think is what Cohen was concerned about. Now the money has to come straight from university ($20 million cap). The rest must come from legitimate NIL deals, not collectives.

Apparently they have setup a rules committee that must clear any NIL deals so there's no funny business (such as people disguising donations for NIL).
