And he barely got his office set up before we fired up the jet to get Bobby Patrino.

If only the football internet boards would have been a big thing back then. That would have been fun

People around here have a bad memory. I can remember having to pull games out of our arse against shitty teams under Tub and Gus.....in much more dramatic fashion than this. We put ourselves in that situation from time to time. We are Auburn.

And Hars is already right there with them. Near GA State and San Jose State oofs are quite the resume Harsin is building. I mean the last time we lost at home to non conference nobody was USF in 2007.

2007 shouldn't count for anything due to how absolutely insane of a year it was.

USF was actually 2nd in the country at one point that year.

I’m so tired of hearing about Muschamp. If the PTB really wants the Muschamps out there then either of Gus or Harsin will do but I doubt it’s really that because they would lose all support. Too many fearmongers on this board.

If you look at the entirety of the day of games than everyone calling for Harsin to be fired in the first quarter is an overreaction. The Harsin haters were hoping for the opportunity to sound off, and this game was perfect, almost. The team messed it up by winning.

Are there concerns? Absolutely. Are they fixable? We have 10 more games to find out.

Could you all be correct in wanting him fired because he isn’t up to coaching in the SEC? Of course, but the posting in large part has been an overreaction in my opinion. Feel free to disagree with that.

The remainder of this season will tell the tale. Firing him would not look good but he might get another job offer and decide to leave of his own volition.

I've been told many times when I b*tch about Harsin that he is a great coach and needs time so 15-0 people. He got this year before I start b*tching again. Let kick penn state arse!!!!

I don’t know if Harsin is a great coach or not. I’m just not calling for him to be fired yet. A lot of people were way ahead of me on Gus being let go too.

Just saw that crazy teams are firing a coach after week 2, even though it's warranted

Unless negotiated down they could have waited 20 days and saved $8 mil

Nebraska knew about the $8M. That should tell you that the money involved in the game these days is at a different scale than what the majority of this board deals with. Three weeks head start was worth $8M to them.

They really had no choice. He has not done one single positive thing since he has been a coach there.

And it was getting worse.

Oh yeah. I agree with this. I thought you were merely talking about people being upset at how we played.

Reality is that he is gone end of year and our recruiting is currently fricked due to the current situation

It’s not gonna get any better moving an asst in as interim. They should have waited a few weeks.

Plus it was a way to say thanks to a loyal alum - who could have taken several other big jobs after his miracle year in 2017, but chose to "come home to Lincoln".

It's not like they can't afford it in light of the new B1G TV deal.
