They are not negative. They are realistic. Sorry to block your sunshine. Get back with me in the middle of the season. Or should we wait till next season or the season after?

How many seasons do we wait to get to .500 ball?

I’m willing to give Harsin a chance this year purely because of the complete shite sandwich Gus left us. We hired Harsin during an unprecedented Pandemic when traditional recruiting was out the window. Had he had the balls to not be force fed Bobo and Mason then shame on him. I think there was a lot of cancer in that locker room last year and from all evidence so far maybe it’s been gotten rid of. I know I’ll get a lot of crap about Mason but let’s be honest he was shite at Vandy period.

Auburn fans get emboldened when they write the above. These are my favorite words. lol. so Say it with conviction. fAUm. After all I’m either glad to not read another robotic take (which honestly your hAUt take was robotic Pro Harsin fodder) or I get the greenlight to light your world up after you also admitted you were saying something stupid.

We are using Mason’s playbook and terminology btw.

New DC must not be in over his head at all if that's the case. Hard to imagine Harsin, or any Boise guy, not having a fricking clue

You’re also forgetting that while he took over less than ideal situation there is now the transfer portal where teams can immediately address needs something he did not do.

Spring practice report from Al.com
quote:

The adjustment from Mason to Schmedding this spring has been a seamless one for Auburn’s returning defenders. The system has largely remained the same, as has the playbook, though there have been tweaks to the terminology and some new wrinkles. According to defensive back Donovan Kaufman, Schmedding has simplified some things to make the defense easier for players to absorb and retain.

“It’s really not that different,” said Kaufman, who also played under Mason at Vanderbilt in 2020. “The best thing about it, Coach Schmedding was around last year so it’s not like it’s somebody new. We have that relationship with him. Now it’s just building a stronger relationship with him at this point.”

One of the biggest differences, according to players, has been in Mason and Schmedding’s approach to coaching. Mason was more hands-on and more inclined to stop practice to go over specific points, while Schmedding prefers to let position coaches help fix those mistakes and promotes more player-led adjustments during practice. The other big difference has been a bigger emphasis on takeaways after Auburn forced just 12 turnovers and ranked 113th among FBS teams in that category last season under Mason.

Cause you expected better when the PTB threw a hissy during the height of signing period to fire the staff WITH CAUSE. Every fricking slapdick team within 1000 miles of AU used that to their advantage. Not to mention the effect all that uncertainty had on the transfer portal. Harsin is gonna be gone by mid Oct. and after that you will see AU football truly go to the cellar for 5-10 years. I’m talkin Tenner bad shite.

I feel like this board has me on crazy pills sometimes. The board shitted on Mason a lot but it’s the defense he is running well that pissed a lot of people off here- a defense Harsin apparently likes since we aren’t…imposing our will on anybody anytime soon.

Uhmm, that investigation didn't happen until BOTH signing days (both early and regular) had passed, and the early transfer window had already been as colossal failure

Nice memory. Do you need me to help read a calendar?
