I have a hard time believing Corch uses an alter for reasonable posts

Corch on SECR is Kevin Durant on Twitter:

Corch is on here posting pics of his wife and talking about his porn star grandmother. Anonymity doesn’t seem to be very high on his list so I don’t think he’s worried about making alters

Yeah, figured as much. And I get it when they are repping and scrimmaging to simulate the distractions and crowd noise but I was just wondering if the "teaching" part of practice would be more difficult with music but perhaps all that is done in the meetings and walk-throughs.

I was being facetious but I have seen him us those words in that username and thought I would throw that out.

I know he has a great sense of humor and will see that.

Dylan Brooks looks so much better than he did middle of his senior year. He has done a really good job getting to a better playing weight

--Marquis Burks has been better than expected inside on the defensive line. Tony Fair has been a force since the first day of camp.

--Some other pleasant preseason surprises: Quarterback Dematrius Davis, tight end Landen King, walk-on running back Sean Jackson, offensive lineman Avery Jernigan.

--Brendan Coffey is pushing hard for playing time at offensive tackle.

--When offensive coordinator Mike Bobo said Auburn’s receivers had come “light years” since spring, it was not coachspeak. They have been among the highlights of preseason camp.

--Wide receiver Demetris Robertson has looked more the part of the 5-star prospect he was coming out of high school than the guy who played sparingly at Georgia.

OL is my only real concern. I think our interior DL will be serviceable enough to stop the run more often than not. Once we get to passing situations, I'm really excited to watch our defense. This defense somewhat reminds me of our 2007 defense. Really harassed passers.

Nix will be Nix, but I do think he will be improved, if nothing more he will have more options on each play. We will live and die by how our OL plays. If they can be a little above average, we should have a very fun year.

I think this will be the biggest thing we notice about the new offense. So many throw aways by Nix were because he didn’t have an option when he needed to get rid of the ball. And he often needed to get rid of the ball quickly

It was pretty common to see receivers still had backs to Nix when the OL gave way to the opponent’s front 7. Gonna be critical to open up some flats, slants, or even bubble routes to help him out.

Yep. Plus so many of our plays are a 1-2 person play at most. I know every offense has these, but that was basically all of ours. Nix just having a 3rd and 4th option on pretty much every play will be very helpful to him.

When did our passing game do the best? In those games where we would do the play action with the receiver doing a shallow cross behind the LOS and Nix could dump to him. Then fake that and rest of field was open. As long as he remember his emergency routes, he should always have someone he can quickly dump it to now.

247’s notes on player interviews with TE Luke Deal & S Zion Puckett

Deal -

Harps again that the offense will be "downhill" and "pro style."

Calls Mike Bobo's offense "refreshing."
Says Auburn will be "powerful" in the I-formation this season.

Bo Nix and T.J. Finley "bring out the best in each other."

Says "there's always been a competitiveness for the offense (at Auburn) because the defense has been so good."

Deal said the offense will focus on better execution in the scrimmage tomorrow.

Deal said the receivers "are really working hard" and have progressed well, but the tight ends have "accepted the role" of maybe getting more targets at the start of the year.

Puckett -

Puckett is working mostly at safety, though he echoes Derek Mason in saying that all the defensive backs have to be versatile and play multiple spots.

Puckett said the "communication" with the linebackers and the rest of the secondary was solid "top down" in the first scrimmage. Sounds like the DBs had a good day.

On Ro Torrence: "He's got long abilities and is able to pick up (receivers) with his speed."
What he's focusing on this season: "Getting in the right position at the right time."

All the safeties are "rotating at the same time." Sounds like he may be on Knighten's tail for playing time at safety.

Praises Ladarius Tennison's maturity within the playbook and his ability to pick up a starting role late last season after Christian Tutt went down.

I'm also interested in the punt returners for this year.

Do we know who is on the depth chart? I assume J' Johnson is one...others?
