We’re just pointing out something confusing To be seen if it happens in a game.

Offensive line sure is big for us to be running hurry-up offense. I never seen stats on whether hurry-up offenses' OLs start heavy and end-up lean. Makes me wonder how much we'll see of the hurry-up.

Noticed Prince Tega a bit gimpy on the left leg.

Looks like Joiner’s primary role this season will be fullback. Seems like a happy marriage of his skillset.

Also looks like Hamm is starting to stand out at Tackle. He’s working at right guard and right tackle and he may be the swing OL for this season

Hope the wheel routes to the FB comes back in style. Joiner is gonna be a weapon

Yep. He can slide around a lot of places which is an asset if Gus is returning to tempo

There is just a tiny shred of hope in my heart that Gustav has been planning this for years.

Since NM left, he hasn't had a QB on the roster capable of running his HUNH concepts effectively. Now it's possible that he has 2. And that he has lulled the rest of the conference to sleep with his half-assed twirlybird approach as he got the right weapons in his offensive arsenal to run opposing defenses ragged. All while cultivating a defense capable of making the occasional stop or three early in the game, leading to opponents being totally out of gas in the 4th quarter, when those quick dives turn into 60-yard TDs.

Then I wake up in a cold sweat, remembering the JJ For Heisman campaign

Really haven’t had someone as versatile in that role since Fannin and Eric Smith. Fannin made a lot of big plays running the wheel route out of the FB position, and Smith seemed to always be wide open running routes from the backfield.

Agree.

Developments like this make me more excited about the season than the QB hype or what the coaches and players say after practice

i will disagree. Chandler Cox was more versatile than any of them. Gus just did not use him in all the ways. Jay Prosch was the best blocker we had back there but Cox had some great hands and was very versatile.

Plus, neither of them had the baggage as Eric Smith or the fumbles like Fannin.

But it was damn fun watching Prosch level folks.

Yes. Cox, 6’0 245lb fullback and Joiner are exactly the same guy and Cox is GREATLY more versatile

No doubt

We dont know what Joiner can do yet. My point was to compare him to the ones of the past

I’m with you. We’re not far apart. Joiner could lay an egg this season. No clue, man

By the fourth quarter, people ran away from Eric Smith. That was fun to watch.

What do you call this then?!?

ETA: If we had a Cox clone to block for Cox, that play was probably going to the house.

We don’t, but we do know he’s obviously a way better athlete. I doubt he will be as good in terms of blocking, but he will be more of an athlete in space when needed.

He’s closer to Mario Fannin than Eric Smith or Jay Prosch.

That is because they were tired of being stabbed by a shank.

I wanted Gus to run that play just one more time soooooo bad. Then I wanted it to go for about 60 yards.

That melt would have been one for the record books
