That one move Smith? put on Kessler was incredible... Does he seem to struggle against guys like that? I'm not basketball expert and I'm glad we have him but it seems like Kessler could use another year. The talking heads seem to mention his shot blocking but not much else. On the other hand, the drool and slob all over the KY kid.

Yeah Kessler is a special talent as a shot blocker which is an elite skill teams drool over. But he struggles defending your classic back to the basket big man. Needs a little more strength. He's also not good offensively with his back to the basket but I do think he has potential there. He has great hands and sets good screens which is also good for the NBA PnR game. Overall him being a top 20 pick seems a tad high to me but I'd think late first round.

Yea same, only way I see him near lottery is if someone falls in love with his shot blocking because he doesn’t do THAT much else besides rebounding well, but his shot blocking is so elite it doesn’t matter
If Kessler came back next year and kept near this level of shot blocking while adding an actual 3 point shot (even if he just gets it into the 30% range) and maybe get his free throws into the 70s, his stock would go way higher.

Man if Kessler could hit 30% from deep he might be a top 10 pick next year. I think him coming back is still a possibility. But there’s always a chance a team falls in love with him defensively and thinks they can develop him on offense.

Kessler: great second round pick. Could sneak into 1st with right team. His scoring holds him back.
Smith: he will eventually make a GM look like an idiot if he is not picked 1st. He is 18 yes old and we are picking at small flaws in his game.
Paulo will be a steady NBA player but not an all star.
Chet is too thin and the question is can he even put on weight in a good way.
Smith has the height , the frame, the work ethic, and the skills to be an NBA all star. He will be just that.

Flannigan seems to be trying to do things he can’t do. He needs to post up the smaller guards, play good defense, hit 3’s occasionally and score / draw fouls in paint.
He seems to be out of control and lack of ball skills and I think it’s injury related. He needs another year to redeem himself

Which is particularly difficult this year with the most charge happy officiating I’ve ever seen in my life. AF definitely makes the calls easier for the ref though

Easier? Did u watch his blatant dribble from the wing to the foul line and in a very hard push used his elbow to shove his defender out of the way? You could tell he didn’t try to disguise it.
Flanigan has had 3 years to eliminate lowering his shoulder into his defender or not dribble regardless who is in his path. And he hadn’t done it.
He’s an avg dribbler and he doubts his offensive gsme so much he hurts us offensively.
As he said in his post game pc his responsibility is defend rebound and get the ball to the playmakers.

Chet with the big 8 point outing last night in a final game in a high school gym.
He had 4 points before the foul fest at the end of the game began.
I can’t imagine any NBA GM to think he is better than Jabari.
