Let me start off by saying I support Hugh and am very excited to see his “OM offense” incorporated into our team.
With that said, why does it feel like we’re seeing a repeat of Malzahn’s offense? I feel like this is a Scooby Doo episode
WDE anyways!

It’s because we don’t have a good QB or WRs, which was a trait of Gus’s crappy teams. When he had Nick Marshall, Samir Coates, Stidham and Slayton it opened up the run.

this entire year smacks of a Malzahn redux. Musical QB's. (especially in the redzone early in the year) then the "is he or isn't he" calling plays. enough already.

Name one non-freshman player on offense that will get drafted.
You can’t. We’re working with a bare cupboard.

The cupboard is not only bare but has holes in it. We need the Jimmy & Joes.

Hunter and Alston

I find it hard to believe based on their current form.
Hunter is not the same player he’s been and RB is a crowded draft position that is valued minimally. Maybe he’s picked in the 6th or 7th round.
Alston has carried the ball 40 times in his Auburn career. To say he gets drafted at this point is crazy.

Nothing about this offense reminds me of Gus's offense except its ineptitude.
We aren't running inside zone 47 times a game, we are throwing slants and back shoulders we just can't catch the damn ball.

Don't need to. I made a prediction. It may or may not come true. The end.

The potato famine has definitely set us back a few years.

I guess I'd like to see something seriously different like Hunter and Cobb in the backfield with Ashford.

Huh? What games did y’all watch? He opened the run?

Get out of here with that thinking outside the box shite and trying to win by outsmarting our opponent. Last time we did that was 2013 and look where that got us.

The difference though was there was actually the threat of a downfield pass that made that work then

Yeah a line that can block, receivers who can get open, and a quarterback who can make plays make your offensive plan look a lot better

The players are better than the product on the field. Schools with way less talent are better offensively.

There’s a reason why I refer to this as “Gus light” offense.
