I'd take any but Weis. Briles and Riley are both top notch young coordinators. Peeler is a very good recruiter who specializes in WR's.
I dunno much about Weis other than Ole Miss people want him fired.

Riley or Briles would be great hires that would be calling plays.
If Peeler, Freeze is probably calling plays.
Weis Jr does not move the needle.

frick Weiss. How can any top player in the country relate to a guy with no talent that has made it strictly on his dad’s name.

Rumors are going around that OC will be Phillip Montgomery. Jay G Tate says he has heard it and is trying to confirm it.

The last Tulsa OC we had worked out okay.

He’d be a good hire. Would compliment Freezes style with his spread tempo scheme. Was highly successful as Baylor OC and play caller and then had some success on offense while at Tulsa as HC. Fired this year and overall record not impressive though.

Looks like a good fit (50/58). Probably not a lot of ego at this point, thus will have some flexibility (Not call plays/call plays).

Yeah I read that he’s a low key guy. When he was an OC he liked to operate in the background and didn’t seek attention or credit. I’m sure as a HC the last 8 years though he has had to come out of his shell a bit but is probably ok with being an OC again.

Why do you say that? Did you look at his recruiting profile? He may be able to develop a QB but we already have on that has done a great job at Liberty...Not saying that I don't like him but home run? questionable.

He has deep roots in Texas high school football. That will be a tremendous asset in recruiting.

As Texas A&M showed everyone this year, you need more than recruiters. You actually need coaches to teach Xs and Os
Montgomery coached with Briles for YEARS. He ran the Baylor offense and coached RG3. He’s a very well regarded offensive coach.
