Yikes.
I'd take Dabo over that POS any day.

Heard from a fairly reliable source that Dabo was in Auburn yesterday.
Of course he was. These rumors come up every time it looks like Auburn is going into a potential coaching change.
If he leaves Clemson he owes them $6 million. His buyout is $60 million this year.

Ever since DA came back from injury he's been treated like the red-headed step child, why the F is Hugh and the OC doing that?

Why
Dabo is past his prime and never adjusted to the new college football realities. Clemson sucks now and he’d walk into a tougher situation in Auburn It’s typical JABA thinking, though.

Why?
if the plan is to completely destroy AU football, might as well do it on the cheap

He technically just started using the transfer portal.

Get Dabo
But just have the PTB force NIL down his throat with a yellawood 2x4 and we'll be in good shape

Idk man. I would support but very cautiously

The best HC we have had since Tubs was Chizik. Had he had help on the program management end, he would have survived. I dont want another HC who calls plays on either side of the ball.

Same reasoning is why we have Freeze. "But when he gets to Auburn..."
When he gets to Auburn, Auburn will adopt his shortcomings. We need to stop scraping the floor for yesterday's leftovers that happen to have a Saban win or two on their resume.

I do not.
But Dabo is not the guy. He cannot take the criticism at Clemson. He would be cooked like a lobster in five minutes here.

when the inevitable happens and Freezus ascends into Buyout Heaven, Matt Campbell should be our only priority
give him a 5 year 100% guaranteed deal and tell him he has complete control over every aspect of the program
otherwise we’re just hiring replacements for these guys

Dabo is to Clemson what Bruce is to Auburn basketball. Didnt see Auburn fans acting like entitled jerks to Bruce's face.
Dabo has altered his transfer portal philosophy and he is a great cultural fit. Sorry "be the change" fans.

I wanted Campbell in 2020! He doesnt want us.

Auburn needs to operate like almost every other top football program does and go out and identify the next great football coach, as opposed to trying to poach an existing great coach (almost impossible) or rehabilitate a once-great football coach (a foolish proposition).
Most of the best coaches in this program's history were hired as unestablished prospects on the upswing, so its very odd to see fans now operate as if its preposterous to try with a hungry upstart who has something to prove. Furthermore, most of the top programs today are fielding head coaches who were NOT hired as established coaches. Ohio State didn't have to hand their program over to Ryan Day, a guy who had just a couple seasons as an OC and zero head coaching experience apart from sitting in as OSU's HC for a few games.
