Interesting that he is named Offensive Coordinator rather than quarterback coach like Dilly was.

Hopefully Gus lets him coach up Bo. He did a solid job with Boyd at Clemson. His last year at SMU, his QB threw for over 3500 yds, 33tds, and 12 ints. Not bad.

2 guys who at some point in the last few years have been arguably the greatest offensive minds in college football on the same staff.....I'm excited to see it.

This will either be really, really awesome and we'll score 40+ every game...or it will be the opposite of awesome.

Probably neither.

Offensive game planning and overall instruction of the offense jump out as the biggest needs. There's gotta be better personnel decision making on the game day level and I feel better having a guy like Chad Morris in charge of those things over Dillingham. Too early to determine what Chad's role in play calling will be but I'm guessing Gus keeps that gameday responsibility.

QB development and recruiting are other major areas of need. Those aren't going to be easily tracked in the short term.

The sad hire would’ve been Bobo.

Or

Loeffler

There is nothing mediocre about him as OC.

Do we see any Chad wrinkles on offense in the bowl game?

Is he starting immediately or after the bowl game?

We really need a new o line coach.

But speaking on Morris, hopefully he will keep Gus in schedule and not allow him big down drives with predictability or by out smarting himself

I like it so long as Gus and Morris can both benefit out of it by adapting offense to full potential. I see it. It’s not a bad hire in any sense IMO at this time.

Both Kevin Steele and Chad Morris were the Defensive/Offensive Coordinators for Dabo in 2011.

This gif is so ironic. Vince McMmahon micromanges HHH & doesn't give him much input outside of NXT. Very reminiscent of past AU OC frustrations.
