I said that when everyone got a boner from Chip and Rhett being allowed to call plays. They are Gus's plays. Doesnt matter who calls them in.

Yea, but what people were excited for wasn't the idea of new plays getting called, it was about mixing up tendencies. The hope was somebody else wouldn't be stubborn enough to run the ball on first down 21+ times in a row.

I mean, I was excited about the idea of passing into the middle of the field

Fair. I guess what I meant more was that our offense was going to get called differently, not that we were all of a sudden going to get a different offense.

I agree though, I was very excited at the idea of utilizing the middle of the field more.

Honestly, I agree about play calling vs execution. I do however believe a game can be properly called if the eyes on the film study make it's way into the game plan. I have often worried we don't have a diverse enough staff on offense and it could be limiting.

Chad is Gus' first offensive hire that really has vast experience outside of Gus. Might be interesting to see what happens.

I wish I could find the picture of our offense lined up in the Wildcat against Georgia, and they were shifted over and had 8 defenders waiting for the play was designed to go.

I thinks someone on this board had it as a signature pic.

That was brutal.

Anyone with two eyes should have checked out of play.

Or taken delay of game.

It's pretty nuts how much the passing game has evolved in only 10 years

In 2010, Cam Newton set the P5 QB single season Passer Rating mark at 182. This year alone, 5 different P5 QBs had a 181.9+ mark. Joe Burrow had a 185+ passer rating in 12 out of 13 games

Hopefully Morris can help our offense keep pace with the passing evolution
