I know most of this is hypothetical and the conversation stayed civil for the most part, thank you to all who did so, but looks like Davis has gone home sick. If you believe that sort of thing

I don't buy the sick thing. He either doesn't want to risk injury or has signed with an agent.

Since we sent him home I'm thinking agent.

I don’t believe that crap either. Just tell us the truth and be done with it. I don’t blame the players but what makes the bowl games so much more meaningless than the rest? I’m not talking specific to Auburn as I realize we were in playoff contention.

If this is going to be a common theme of seniors skipping bowl games and it appears that it is, then I say allow redshirt players to play without penalty (outside of playoffs)

Is there any reason we shouldn’t? What makes more sense, practiced some and then got sick and had to leave or that he came and practiced then suddenly decided he didn’t want to play?

more than likely its true. But who knows. Did he do something in the last game to get in the dog house? Is he holding out to go NFL'ing? Is he sick? Who knows but we are not always told the truth. And probably shouldn't be.

This is the truth. Gus is great at keeping things that shouldn’t get out locked down.

Same here. Smells like a cover story.

I don't understand why the truth from Gus isn't suitable in a situation like this.
