I guess he gone? Article on Al.com syas he is with the team but not practicing. I supose he is sitting out the bowl game and going to enter the draft. I would think he would be ok from concusion during the SECCG.

They’re labeling it as an “illness”... but I’m betting he hold himself out.

Idk, a ton of people have been getting pretty dang sick.

If I wasn't close to 100% w the flu, I wouldn't play if I was Davis.

I don't care if he sits out. If I got a round 1 grade I wouldn't play in a non playoff game. If he is sitting out I just wish he'd say it and not call it an illness

yea, and if he is actually holding himself out due to the draft, they should have left his arse in Auburn. No need to come to Atlanta and enjoy the bowl goodies if he is sitting out on purpose. If he is injured, thats a different story

If he practiced yesterday then I would side with believing the sick report. Doubtful he decided to sit out in the last 24 hours.

Carlton has earned it. I'm pretty sure he's legitimately been sick. Whether he plays or not, I think he should be at the game

If he is sick or injured then heck yea. But if he is 100% healthy and not playing because he is scared he will get hurt, then bring someone who can play. Let him watch from home

The team DESERVES to have someone there that wants to be there.

I'd argue they also deserve their brother who has given it his all for 3 years and has a great opportunity to play football and make money doing it.

Let's be real, the guy they'd bring in his place wouldn't play. And certainly wouldn't play in his place

Eta: just humor me.. What would happen if he played and did get seriously injured?

We bring walk-ons to the bowl game. Whose spot is Carlton taking exactly?

Junior cornerback Carlton Davis, who suffered a concussion in the SEC Championship Game, is questionable for the Peach Bowl. Malzahn wouldn’t confirm that he’ll play

“[Davis] is here the same as everybody,” Malzahn said. “As it gets closer I will get into more specifics, but I think we are in good shape to this point.”

That was a day ago.

This was today

Starting cornerback Carlton Davis, who left the SEC Championship Game before halftime due to a concussion, missed the second day of practice in Atlanta due to sickness.

The concussion protocol alone would be okay to miss in my book. This is not that big of a deal him being with the team. He traveled with the team and was always a decision closer to game time.

We can only bring so many players correct? My point is, in a way he is letting his team down by not playing if he is not injured and he is just sitting out to get ready for the NFL. If thats the case, why bring him? Let someone in that spot that wants to play in the bowl game and will play.

If he got hurt, he would be in the same situation that every player is in that is going to try and play in the NFL. If its a meaningless game to a player then why come?

The season is not over and it really sets a bad precedent. Whats going to happy when players start sitting out the last 4 games of the season because there is no chance for the team to make a big bowl and they just want to get ready for the NFL?

I stand by what I say. If he is not injured and all he is doing is sitting out because he is scared he will get hurt, he and anyone else in that position should not be allowed to attend the game on Auburns dime

I just could not imagine sitting out a bowl game because I didnt want to get hurt. Standing on the sidelines watching my teammates play. How would I feel if the guy taking my place was struggling and causing the team to lose the game.

Sorry but I am not wired that way
