Next we will be hearing Deuce is leaving and people will start jumping out of windows.

Deuce is still an unknown. I don't really give a good crap. Tell him to have fun. We are getting G5 QB anyway.

I’m not for blowing up the program but it’s getting very difficult to care more than the players do.
I also can’t say at 20 years of if I was making 2 million that another million would get me to leave anything but my wife and kids. The money these players are making is life altering money. If invested properly some would never have to work a day in their life.
But that is the problem. There is to much money in the sport. As a form college student and the father of 3 college students the amount of money we spend on kids with academic achievement and scholarships is still outrageous. Why can this money not be poured into the school systems to reduce cost other then paying coaches 12 million a year and having a roster close to 40 million a year.
Sure give the players some money but no “amateur” ball player should be making more then $150k a year. That should be the market. If their agent is able to legitimately go outside for endorsements great more power to them but they can’t be associated at all with the school.
There are many fans, kids that live and die by Auburn football that their parents can’t afford to take them to a game because the cost is outrageous. I’m not sure if my age is starting to play a factor but I’m quickly losing interest in college athletics. I’m already done with pro sports. Only professional sports I watch anymore is UFC/mma. Those guys for the most part start out fighting 3 times a year 50k to show 50k to win. Until they prove they are stars. Then the money increases.

I still don't understand why every restaurant and bar in Auburn doesn't have an NIL menu item that is like $2 more than whatever the usual price is for a similar item and contribute that to NIL. No different that any business that asks you to donate to whatever charity they are doing at the holidays. You can rotate a player or whatever to be the sponsored player that week or whatever. Imagine if Skybar had an NIL shot. May be able to fund our OL class each year with one Trotline concert

It will be up to Golesh to bring new energy to the program, and it should not be shocking that it may have to come with new guys. This may not be a bad thing, as there is not a winning culture on this team currently.
I hope so. He could be the next coming of Coach Dye. Under Dye's first year he separated the men from the boys. For all we know all these players entering into the portal do not want to go through AG plans. Got a feeling AG is no more Mr. Nice guy like Freeze.

You are making an assumption that this is all about money

Deuce is hoping on posting stupid gifs on their announcements. He can pound sand

Well, we'll be going into the toughest schedule in years with a G5 roster and another coach with a "scheme".
College football is a joke, now. It truly is and I don't yet see any light at the end of the tunnel.

Not talking about blowing the program up. Talking about winning the only way we will be able to going forward.

Tried to tell everyone years ago that you can't just do that. You can't impose a ceiling on what someone can earn. You can collude and decide what you will pay, but do you think over 100 teams competing against each other will collude? Nope. They will stab each other in the back. Anyone could see this coming, but people wanted the players to get paid so bad they could not think of what could be. Supreme court ruled, Pandora runnin wild.

That is small potatoes. We need to be thinking big. Big Fortune 500 sponsors. Advertising. And it won't last. Other teams will start doing it. We have to be first. Shock and awe. Have the 20-GL painted in the Coca-Cola Redzone when the season starts.
The Coca Cola RedZone. Have a score and a smile!

Correct it is all about money. Everyone associated is getting big money so nothing with change but they will continue to hold their hands out for more and more. Texas Tech OSU Texas aTm have all discussed rosters between 40-50m. Insane!!!

I don't know what this means, tbh.
Is he congratulating them for leaving? Sorry I don't quite get gif culture.

These guys that are leaving are a bunch of good players that were good at finding different ways to lose weekly, sometimes you have to flush it and start over.

You know, I never would have been supportive of saying something like that, but it is all about the money now. If you want to kick us to the curb, all bets are off.

Yes it is life altering. Just like winning the lottery. However I hear most lottery winners go bust and many bankrupt. Same with many retired pro players. People in general lack the financial discipline especially young people. Instant gratification over delayed. That is why old money families survive cause they teach the next generation financial discipline and achievement.

Yeah, that's a joke...unless a high-end Mercedes, tons of bling, and "their posse" counts.

Totally agree, but for the big money boosters, it's as much about a wanker measuring contest as anything so the market gets way over-inflated fast.
