All these recruits interested in Deion will quickly fade from CU if they don't have an NIL program robust enough to keep them.

Oh, playing for Deion in front of dozens of fans for $? a month or playing for an SEC school and 100k fans for $50k+ a month? Deion's only going to hold them for a year. NIL will absolutely win in the end.

Houston Nutt went public with his thoughts on Freeze at AU:

quote:

Hugh Freeze had some good players when he took over," Nutt said. "We left him some good players. He got a few more players, bought some good ones. And he did a good job. He beat Alabama twice."

quote:

Auburn to me is in a desperate mode. They're in a desperate mode and they had to feel like we've got to get somebody that can live in the same state as the greatest, Nick Saban, and who can beat him.

quote:

"Best of luck and all that," Nutt said. "I was surprised. I was surprised."

If that were the case, they’d have forked out a lot more money and gotten Meyer.

Houston knows we can go back and look at his classes, right? I wouldn't call recruiting in the 20's "some players."

Why in the world would anyone give a damn what Houston Nutt has to say about Auburn? When was the last time he was relevant in the SEC?

Prime looking to hire Willie Taggart. What a disaster this will be.

AU president addresses concerns re: hiring Freeze.
Evidently we interviewed 18 coaches and did in depth on 11.

At one point JGT said the number swelled up to 10 to 15. That's pretty believable.

I would love to know who, but we'll never find out. Either way I am pretty sure Kiffin and Freeze were the real targets.

Prime about to get Kent HC to come be his OC. Wow. Stepping down as a HC to be an OC.

I tried to tell everyone. No one listens. Sad.

What exactly could we have done to make Auburn hire Deion? Many here were either team Prime or were open to him being hired like myself. Harsin hired former head coaches too by the way.
