You may be right but with early signing periods we need to start salvaging what we can

If the man isn't doing shite, then he's only hurting the program more

I don’t really understand Grimes either. What’s the appeal with him?

As much as I'm ready to move on from the Hars error it makes Sybase to wait until after the season. He needs to carry every loss on his coaching record. Plus all of these Boise coaches need to go at the same time. They are all part of the on field problem of not being able to make gameday adjustments.

Grimes would be a horrible decision.

If we have any shot at firing with cause we should do it now. If it did go to court and we waited until after the season to fire him, waiting wouldn't help our case

since when did money become an issue for these guys? you'll pay money to get rid of the "wrong" guys but won't pay money to fix it? that's stupid.

Seems like a Pittman copycat hire.

I like Grimes and he’s definitely closer to the Pittman mold, but he feels like a solid backup option. Don’t love the idea of him being at the top of the list.

it would make sense given our OL has been so suspect (putting it nicely) over the past ~5-6 years. but at the same time, still an underwhelming hire. you can make a home-run hire who still makes a good OL coach hire and recruits OL well. why are we settling? if you're going to go for an unproven/up and comer type, at least pick someone exciting like prime time.

To be smart enough to have made all that money and so dumb at the same time is astonishing

i know pittman is likeable (and i like him too) but i don't understand why everyone on tRant thinks he's a fantastic HC. he's an 8-4 type coach at best imo.

But, but, but Ashford is Gatewood, can’t pass, and will switch to WR.

Apparently Harsin did not attend the main meal for the official visitors this last weekend. Basically every coach in modern history at Auburn has went to these dinners, had players over to their house, etc etc. Harsin is not doing this anymore.
Not the first time I’ve heard or read this. frick Bryan Harsin.

Repeat after me.... "I big time booster or just a fan, hereby promise to fully support the coach regardless of who is finally selected". We do this, we will be fine.

We did if for Dye (Alabama, E. Carolina and Wyoming), Bowden (Samford), Tubbs (Ole Miss), Chiz (Mr. 5-19) and Malzahn (One year as a D-1 Coach) and all won SEC championships and were successful. Auburn makes the coach.

Harsin is the ONLY true 100000% disaster from Day 1.

Repeat after me..."shooter shoot."

Make your dream list and go after #1. Don't f-ing settle for your safe pic because you didn't even have the balls to ask. Our BOT and PTB must have never had any game with the ladies. Have some confidence and freaking ask your #1 choice.

I hate this stupid earth.

Grimes with Hartline would at least be intriguing. That would do a lot for the recruiting side just right there, I just find it hard to believe he leaves OSU.
