It will be really interesting to see how Nix handles a white out environment on the road given that he has shat the bed against ranked teams on the road ( has he beaten one?).

He is really going to have to lean on his training in the off-season not to bail and play chuck and duck because you know Franklin is gonna send the house after him. I suspect Tuesday Harsin will have the defense get after his arse pretty good while they’re in pads.

He’s going to have to rely big-time on Tank and John Samuel Schenker and Shed Jackson especially while those young receivers get adjusted. I just want him to protect the ball and take what’s the defense gives him. But if Bo somehow have a big game, he will be right in the thick of the Heisman race at least early on. This is a huge game for him.

Oregon in his first game as a freshman for sure. Could be more.

Not sure if I would count that as a road win. That crowd was 80% Auburn.

Vs Florida in Gainesville is as big as it gets. That was a crazy environment that game. He has experiences to draw upon in prepping for this game. He is a Jr and should know how this goes now. He’s been in a few big games.

Bo will be fine. Bo's legs will slow the rush down. Inside we run consistently. Take care of the football early and we cruise through the second half.

I just don't think Gus was good at preparing teams for road games. That was our biggest problem as a whole, IMO.

Our only significant successes on the road against decent P5 teams in the last 6 seasons came in the games we had an entire offseason in which to prepare (Oregon & Washington). We beat a pretty stout KState squad on their home field in ‘14 but other than that our road record against quality opposition was pretty dismal in the Gustav era.

You could say our road wins vs TAMU are an exception, but only the first one in ‘13 was against a quality team.

I do think if Penn St keys on Tank and Hunter, then there will be some running room for Bo, if they call some option plays. Once Bo makes some yards running, we can open it up to some play action passes.

There will be no cruising in Happy Valley. Been there, and Penn St will come after us late...

Understood but we will also be coming into this game with two solid games to work through some issues and clean it up. Saturday first half was sloppy as hell, but that second half was a complete turnaround. Tells me the guys are bought into the staff and Harsin isn't fricking around. They responded.

This will be a very tough environment and game, but win or lose (depending on our play) could be a nice catalyst for the rest of the season just as the LSU loss in 2013 was for that team. (I Hope )

THAt simply may be a trademark of a Gus team.

This is a different team, different coach.

I don't think you can compare a new coach's stamp on a team to that of a preceding coach, when talking about road game results...

Like the optimism. It would be awesome if Bo could eat up some chucks of yardage with his legs. Would add a whole new aspect.

I’m hoping that too. Tubs was pretty damn good at road games vs Top 10 teams. It was laying an egg against teams we should beat at home that irked me about him.

Certainly was against our SEC rivals.

Only if they were in our conference.

The KSU win in 2014 was our first - and thus far only - regular season win on the homefield of another P5 school since we beat Virginia in Charlottesville to open the 1997 season.

Hoping to change that disturbing trend this Saturday in Happy Valley

If Gus was still the coach, I would give us little change to win. We are built to win road games. Defense and a sound running game travel well.

You will see some early and often crossing patterns to tight ends and slot receivers to take those lbs off the line of scrimmage and build Bo's confidence.

Then let the RBs eat. Then start picking them to death with mid level throws, and a few long ones.

While it would be nice, I'm terrified it would make Bo revert back to thinking he can scramble and take off out of situations he either (1) can't or (2) shouldn't. Then we're back at square one with happy feet Bo.

I don't know what kind of defensive team speed they have but they've got some big ol' boys in that front 7...'specially at LB

DE Nick Tarburton, 6-3, 255, RJr.

DT Derrick Tangelo, 6-2, 308, Sr.+

DT PJ Mustipher, 6-4, 326, Sr.

DE Arnold Ebeketie, 6-3, 256, RSr.

LB Curtis Jacobs, 6-1, 230, So.

LB Brandon Smith, 6-3, 241, Jr.

LB Ellis Brooks 6-1, 241, RSr./Jesse Luketa, 6-3, 247, Sr.

I think Bo is being coached hard and held accountable, so I think he'll be fine. I'd like to see him light up the stat sheet this week, but what I think will happen is a very efficient, mistake-free performance. It won't suprise me if Tank gets 25+ carries and over 200 yards.

Agreed. I’d be thrilled with something like 17 for 24, 220 passing yards. Not asking for a heisman or all American season from Bo, but we need him to move the chains and limit mistakes. He’s more than capable
