Lots of high ceiling talent on this roster. Also lots to prove and chemistry to find.

I’m saying 4 seed.

Chemistry and roster construction are the keys to this era of college basketball. Most teams with decent NIL will be able to draw talent, but putting that talent together where it makes sense as a roster and can develop chemistry will set teams apart, particularly early on in the season.

I think this roster is built well. Though, I wouldn't mind one more true big for depth. I believe the talent is there with plenty of scoring options, and could be overall more athletic than last season's squad. Now, we just sit back, watch it come together, and see how it goes.

Yep, now we've got all the talent you could hope for. Up to Bruce and Co. to use their acumen to pull the right levers and get this team to play together.

I do love that almost all of these guys have multiple years of eligibility so we won't have to keep hitting the roster reset button every year. Of course it's 2025 so we will lose a few regardless but maybe we can at least enter next offseason with a couple of clear starters

I’m with you. I was at a 5 seed but adding Jovic I think moved us a seed line. I expected Pettiford to come back so I had already factored him in.

Granted this is if the chemistry is there. If not we are an 8/9 seed with a bunch of ball hogs.

Going in to the season I’d have the conference like this…

UF
Arky
AU/UTk
UK
Bammer

Could definitely see this as an outcome. Pettiford, Magwood, Bashir, Freeman, Hall are all 5 rotation guys who all have zero issues pulling the trigger..more than comfortable being guys who shoot 18 shots in a game.

In reality there is only space for maybe 2 of these guys to have a true green light.

Predicting a seed for the NCAA tournament before the first practice?

I'll predict us a 1 seed until proven otherwise

Our team is a big wild card but I dont see our ceiling as high as Florida's. Today I am still disappointed Tech gave up their big lead against Florida. Next year we should be tournament bound regardless but maybe just an 8 seed. I think our brand will be exciting and streaky.

Hopefully this year Bruce is figuring out which pieces work and which pieces dont for the real run next year.

He already knows we need a PG next year so tamper early and often.

Coaches love overseas players.

They are grownass men.

I look forward to seeing how this team develops over the course of the season

I trust Senator Pearl to mold this group into another elite level team.

That's the scary part to me. With roster turnover these days building a new roster will always be a crap shoot to some extent. A staff can do it's due diligence, put together what should be a good team on paper, and the pieces just don't work. The whole process is just condensed to such an insanely small window now. It can go bad in a hurry for literally anyone.
