Yeah unfortunately I think the door has closed. I don't think CBM will be able to get over it mentally that Hall is making more than him. He's given us no reason to believe it wouldn't effect him on the court.

Auburn and OTV must hold the line. May not be the most comfortable thing to do but sets the standard don’t negotiate after signing a deal. There has to be a balance to this business model.
Tennessee held their end of the bargain with Nico. Auburn must do the same with CBM.
I agree. Auburn needs to hold firm. Others will follow that way. At some point, the money men will start getting pissed that they're losing out on money because of immature kids.

I just think this ship has sailed. You have to think about the current roster and the fact the coaches may be out of patience.
I agree that the ship has sailed. As disruptive as he is in practice etc. The past team handled it. Not sure how this new group would react. I think it is time to say adios to CBM. Get 60% of any money paid out on this contract and move on.
I can see how people will say it is hurting recruiting but is also tells people that we pay and are serious so if you are immature then don't come here because it is a tough place and we hold you responsible. I think more schools will start doing this.

I just don’t see Auburn ever suing a kid for breach of contract. Really bad look for recruiting.
Contracts are part of being a pro. These kids want to be paid to play and that's when you leave amateurville.
Make them pay taxes, hold them to contracts, take them to court if they violate them. Screw recruiting. Eventually every team is going to have to treat these "kids" like pros or every college sport will die from greed and corruption.

I figure Bruce wouldn't let that happen if the University wanted to.
Auburn, nor any other university, wants to be the first. Somebody will have to set a precedent. It has to happen. It's going to happen.
The whole system will have to be regulated. We are just waiting for the shoe to drop.
Right now, NIL is the wild west, but even the wild west was tamed.

It really isn't his choice as the money didn't come from the university but the separate entity. If money has been paid out then they are entitled to reclaim (I believe quoted) 60% of that outlay.
I think Arky will go after them also. It is time to do it.
When you want to be a big boy and get paid. You sign a contract. Like those getting student loans and blowing that money and whining about it.They are adults at 18 so they signed they can be responsible.

I think you are being dramatic. The AD is a business.
NIL model would be broke. How can say you "please continue donating so we can enrich these kids lives" and then a breach of contract happens and then dont recover that money. Who is going to want to donate then knowing that the contract didn't mean shite and the player just played you for your money.

Auburn does not have a choice. If they don’t sue for the money owed - then every NIL deal is just a placeholder (bottom threshold) until you see what everyone else gets. Renegotiations would happen weekly in circles all year.
Auburn has to sue him. No way to avoid it.

It's 19 in Alabama.
Players under 19 have to have their contracts signed through their parents or legal guardians.
Seems all this should be handled through contract language and the school/team would have no role in how it's handled.
