How many will we have open post season? & what positions?

Saw that earlier but then wasn't impressed with his numbers.
KU was using him as a PF when he’s much more of an athletic 5. He would be a good take if we get pieces 1-4. He’s more of a rim runner and rim protector. Plays bigger than he is.

OUT (seemingly):
Pegues
Denver
CMo
Turtle
Cardwell
Broome
Kelly
COULD (possibly) RETURN:
Pettiford
Howard
CBM
Chaney (depends on how they rule the DII stuff)
AD Scott (I think he still has a year left)
INCOMING:
Magwood
Walker
SWA
Bashir
Keep in mind that Bruce seems to only really use 12 of the 13 scholarships. If everyone that we think will be able to return actually comes back then we are likely looking for 3 guys, but I’d be shocked if they all did.
Hoke (TIFWIW) seems to think if CBM stays then Howard moves on since they play the same position. Also wouldn’t be surprised at all if AD Scott went somewhere to get minutes. If those two things happen, we are looking at needing 5.
Portal needs will likely be an elite guard to either run the point or play with Pettiford, a 4 (Yaxel pls), and then two 5’s.
I suspect we will be in it for any elite 4s and 5s in the portal given Bruce’s track record with those spots.

Denver has the possibility of coming back. Not sure we are gonna recruit Abdul’s brother from Monmouth. Abdul is thought to be the much better player

NCAA ended up ruling that the JUCO rule wouldn’t apply if the time in JUCO was also the Covid year, so last I saw he was likely done unless some new lawsuit/appeal happens.

Sounds like he is way down the list, if he’s even on it. Seems like we want someone who is either a PG or CG.

In theory Flory is already committed to someone..
He opted to " do not contact"

He either knows where he wants to go or at least knows the schools he wants to talk to. I imagine most big name players that enter use the no contact tag so they’re not hounded

I haven't watched an NBA game in a while but he seems small and is a good, but not elite shooter and finisher. Not a good defender right now either. He's my favorite player on the team and maybe I'm wrong but i don't really see it at the next level yet
If he was 3 inches taller, he would be a surefire one-and-done.

It’s Auburn, Michigan, Duke, Indiana. Believe we lead.

Our starting 5 are all gone depending on what happens with CBM and Denver and if they're getting the extra JUCO year or whatever that case was. Pegues will be gone. Chris Moore, Turtle, and Chaney are all seniors.
Have to keep in mind all teams are getting 2 extra scholarships starting next season.
So, yeah, we will have plenty of room.

Everyone is getting 15 scholarships starting with the '25-'26 season since the rule got changed.

I'd love it to be
Pettiford/Magwood
Bashir bros/Simon
CBM/ one of the Bashir brothers/Howard
Add in another transfer PG and that's a great guard line up.
I'd much rather have the Iowa C than Flory, but I don't know where we are on him.

We have a shite ton of spots to fill then. Never forget we could've got another decent 4 but NIL dried up.

I thought I read that the Iowa C was off the board but I might be imagining things. Flory would be a great fit with that potential crop of guards though...
Would be more of a guard led team. You'd add another rim running center to complement him. Seems like we like to be able to go big now in the later Bruce years though so I anticipate beefing up the 4 spot as well.

Height isnt the end all be all factor in basketball. Otherwise there wouldnt be so many examples of 6'1" PGs. Lets just ask google;
-6'1" is a common height for NBA point guards and shooting guards .
-Many players listed at 6'1" have found success in the NBA .
Examples of 6'1" NBA players include Trae Young (Atlanta Hawks), Payton Pritchard and JD Davison (Boston Celtics), and Dennis Schroder (Brooklyn Nets) .
-A study showed that a significant percentage of players listed at 6'1" have stuck in the NBA .
-The NBA is a league where height is a factor, but skill and athleticism also play a crucial role .
Im sure google is wrong in a lot of instances, but i mean, Petty isnt too short for the league.
