More fun with stat comparisons:
In our first game, we held our opponent to 21 points and 331 total yards of offense. They finished the season averaging 35.9 points and 450 yards per game.
That team was the PAC12 Champs and finished #7 in the final AP pre-bowl poll.
In the Gophers' opener, they allowed their opponent 21 points and 308 yards. Their opponent finished the season averaging 29.7 points and 394 yards per game.
That team finished 3rd in the Missouri Valley Conference (FCS).

ESPN ranking of least to most entertaining bowl games.
Auburn v Minnesota is more entertaining than the sugar bowl apparently. Look at the bias:

P.J. Fleck's mantra is "row the boat." Minnesota is playing at Raymond James Stadium. Raymond James Stadium has a giant pirate ship adjacent to the field. That can't be a coincidence. If this game doesn't end with Fleck swinging on a rope from the ship's mast like Sloth in "Goonies," we're going to be disappointed.

Shades of the Perdue game would be nice. No ounce of worry for the entire game is a really nice way to enjoy football.

I can't help but think that the D will play like their heads are on fire. If the offense can get it together, it could get ugly.
